Residence Mirimar is a well located hotel being close to the beach and restaurants of San Vito. Our corner room was good-sized with 180 degree views of the bay and coast; it had a king-sized bed and a modern bathroom.
We chose to stay here because of reviews of the restaurant but were disappointed by the experience. The staff gave most of their attention to a large, private function in the main Dining room and service to our table was slow with a very limited choice of dishes. The food was acceptable but we were interrupted by other guests walking through our area - on their way outside for a cigarette - and several noisy children..
I stayed here for one night with my daughter. Staff was friendly, and the room was ok although the furniture and decorations could definitely be improved... (and we were told that we were upgraded from the room we had originally booked so I'm wondering what that room would have looked like...!?) Location was central - which was good for reaching the beach but quite noisy with a busy road close by and music playing until late at night, so if you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs!
Breakfast could also be improved. I think it was fine for one night but I wouldn't stay for much longer than that.
Me and my three friends jumped off the train in town by chance and needed somewhere to sleep for the night. The friendly straff received us and even lowered the price, gladly appreciated by four backpackers. The room was clean with everything you needed. Breakfast included!
