Stayed 1 night in December 2017. The room was an adequate size; the bed proved to be comfortable and the air con did its job, all at a price for 2 persons @ 1000 baht.
The room was worn and old and the window curtains falling apart.
Tried to order room service but the phone in the room had a faulty connection so my companion needed to go downstairs to place the order.
Took them about 90 minutes to delivery the food, which was cold and barely eatable.
The bath and shower water was dirty and caused a skin complaint the next day.
TV reception so bad could hardly view any channel.
In the morning went for breakfast included in price:
The staff in the dining room were all over the place though seemed to be paying attention to one particular Thai group to the exclusion of all others,
We were told "no american breakfast" even though it was what we were promised when checking in.
Instead my friend ordered rice soup and i ordered fried rice.
The rice soup was eventually delivered but hardly palatable and was left unfinished. The server as well as the restaurant manager gave the impression they hated their job and had never learnt any courtesy.
After more than 30 minutes i gave up waiting on my fried rice and went outside to the reception counter and asked for the manager.
I complained about the service and at least he had the courage to unreservedly apologise though by this time i had lost my temper and told him i would be reviewing his "hotel" on this web site.
The irony is within 10 minute of leaving the hotel we found a delightful street restaurant with great service and a wonderful breakfast, and i wish i could remember the name of the place....
We stay 2 nights at the hotel during a family visit on the weekend.
We choose this hotel because the location, very central in the city of Pichit. Supermaket and 7-11 is only 5 mins walk.
The hotel is old but in good condition.
The room is large and clean. My only complain for the room is the bed is too soft for me.
They served bread and coffee for breakfast and we can also order one dish of a la carte menu! I ordered chicken with basil and it was very good!
I recommend this hotel if you visit this area
Very good value for money.
While saying its the best hotel in Phichit, doesn't mean its 5 stars.
We stayed there in June as we were doing a project for a local school for a week.
The hotel rooms are large enough, the bed was ok. The bathroom shower flooded the floor all of the time by leaking over the back sitting place inside the shower. Tried to stop it with many towels but it only helped a little.
Single sink in the bathroom.
The air conditioning system needs your key in the key holder next to the door to make it and the rest of the electricity in the room to work. So when you return from your day, the room is extremely hot, as is the rest of Thailand, and it takes a while to cool down. The air conditioner blows directly on the bed, and makes it difficult to sleep. If you turn it off, you get hot very quickly.
One positive, they actually have bathrobes in the room. We laughed, because they are trying.
Wifi is very poor, slow and intermittent. It works best in the lobby, but at least they had it!
But the price though is cheap, only 1000 baht per day, about $30. So its worth it if you are in Phichit as it is still the best hotel.
Note however, that absolutely NO english is spoken. They do not understand anything in english at this hotel, or almost anywhere else in Phichit. Phichit is not a tourist destination, but a city in the middle of Thailand, like a city in the middle of Iowa where only the native language is spoken. It makes it more interesting. Fortunately we had a friend who spoke Thai.
The hallways and elevator are not air conditioned so they are very hot. Sometimes the lobby is air-conditioned and the restaurant is air conditioned.
The breakfast is not very good. You can point at the picture in the menu but you usually get something else. But the self serve coffee is hot, although weak.
The OJ is not freshly squeezed.
Just a place to stay, and if you have to stay in Phichit, you should stay at this hotel.
We were there for the football, so didn't need much, but when you book a 4* hotel, you expect 4* facilities.
Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, but as a 4* I'd have expected additional facilities such as tea/coffee making facilities. The shower was either scalding hot or cold - OK, this is Thailand, so we made do with cold.
We went in search of the swimming pool, but never found it. We tried the rooftop, but it was gated off, and didn't look as though it had been opened for months.
Actually, the hotel was perfect for what we needed this time. However, had we been more in holiday mood, it could have been disappointing.
One word of warning, there is no signage in English that we could spot from the outside of the hotel.
Cheap and clean rooms with wonderful staff. Direct connection to the city and shopping center. The rooms have TV with movies, sports channels, mini fridge. We were very pleased with air conditioning and cold enough for us. Room service, laundry and housekeeping was very efficient. Buffet breakfast was included and tasted delicious, but some days they had an choise of American breakfast or Thai food. They have a pool too. it is near to and from the bus station and train station as well. Recommended.
