Stayed for a week. Lovely place, we stayed in apartment 1 which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The pool was great and we often had it to ourselves. The owners were very friendly and gave us some great produce from their garden, tomatoes, melon etc.

Stayed in this little place for four nights in September. The area is very quiet. You have to walk to Stavros village to meet others. Nice place to just relax and hear the ocean sounds.

Rooms
Kitchenette, with coffee maker, toaster, water cooker, micro wave, fridge and freezer.
My balcony (room 2) was facing the sea and pool area. Very nice to eat breakfast and watch the sunset.
Air conditioning and a little television.

Bed was too hard for my taste and very short. Enough for me (160m) but if my husband who is 190m would have slept there: no change! :D
Luckily had four pillows to my self!

Bathroom
Clean and practical. Toilet bowl wasn't functioning on time to time and needed a little adjustement.

Very friendly staff! Got some complimentary home grown watermelon slices one day to the room. House cat was also friendly. :)
You can snorkel on the rocky shore next to the hotel if it's not very windy.

There is a walk to the shop to buy food! Best way to get here is by bike or a car! Can recommend the stavros beach which is calm even though it's windy. Also nice hiking route to the monastery ruins on the mountains!

A fabulous peaceful stay at Kosta’s House in Crete. A lovely, spacious 3 bedroom, very clean and fresh apartment overlooking a charming garden, swimming pool with perfect sea views. The apartment has plenty of fluffy white towels and clean white bedding sheets. There is air-conditioning and black out shutters on the windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you require to make meals. The balcony is private and has a quality wooden table and chairs and a large umbrella. The sun beds and umbrellas around the pool are new and of good quality. Easily enough for all guests. The pool is holistic (just sea water), well tiled and very clean; it is always crystal clear and perfectly managed. It is deep enough to dive in and also has easy, wide steps to the shallow end which is perfect for the children to play. There is a BBQ available with Olive Wood in place of coals. We were provided with Kosta’s House handmade Sea Salt and Olive Oil plus an amazing selection of fruits and vegetables from their organic garden every day as well as some homemade dips. Justina makes the best Tzatziki and Aubergine dip ever tasted; we were also treated to her Dakos (Greek Brushetta) – amazing, so delicious.

We hired a car which we found very useful to travel to different beaches during the day time. Our favourite beach was Kalatha Beach. In the evening we used the car again to drive to different restaurants in the area. Some restaurants where close enough to walk; like Thanasis Taverna (7 mins walk) while others a little further away like Inuses in Stavros, Tavern Irene in Chorafaki (5 mins drive) and Bourakis in Kounoupidiana (10 mins drive) . Justina is great at recommending restaurants to suit all.

The thing that really stands out about Kosta’s House is the service provided by the owners. It is personal, kind, courteous and generous. Justina and Kosta are incredible people who really care about your stay. Just wonderful.

In our opinion we had the best family holiday; not only due to the great location, the clean apartment, the organic vegetables and holistic pool, but because the owners set this place apart from anywhere else we have stayed. We will definitely return and highly recommend a stay at Kosta’s House on the idyllic island of Crete.
