The staff were polite and helpful very chatty, the bar was busy on Friday night social distancing was an issue and staff weren’t warning customers. Our room was tired but and quite old fashioned but then it was relatively inexpensive so can’t grumble. The breakfast was really good. They let us park our motorcycles on their forecourt at night by CCTV for protection. Great if your into last of the summer wine, but wouldn’t recommend a long stay.

The staff here were really nice , but that’s where the compliments stop .
Our room was dated and not clean . The bathroom was awful and everything needs throwing away and replacing.
The carpet in the bedroom was full of stains and the mattress and bed !!
I know when you are landlords it’s difficult , but really making sure a bed doesn’t have springs prodding through is quite important for a night away .
Generally it needs a really good overhaul .

One night stay in room number 2 which is a family room. We really liked it. The room was big, the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom very clean. Breakfast was delicious! Downstairs the pub was cosy and felt friendly.  We didn't hear any noise from the pub, although we'd had a few drinks ourselves.  It's in a great location in the town.  Very close to the Picturedrome music venue.  We'll definitely return and hope we can get Room 2 again.

Disappointing overnight in the centre of Holmfirth (to say the least) which could have been so much better. The prime reason for our lack of enthusiasm was the loud rock (?) band which was playing live downstairs until 1.30 am, although it felt like they were in our room - I don't think I'm being unreasonable in saying that's unreasonable! Added to this a rather pokey room with tiny TV (which would have been difficult to enjoy with the accompanying loud live music), an electric towel rail hanging off the bathroom wall (and which looked to be a safety hazard if I had dared to touch it) and a lumpy mattress. To be fair, the staff were friendly and the breakfast served was fairly good, but sadly not enough to compensate for a terrible night.

First ever overnight stay and so pleased we ve found this accommodation. The pub itself is friendly, and warm with lovely real fires. We were booked in at the picturedrome so ate a really good dinner here first. We came back to a really good live band and a good nights sleep. The music downstairs could be heard in our bedroom but it didn't bother us. Breakfast was a really good full english and I had the veggie option. Paid more than double at establishments not too far away. Will definitely be back. Thank you
