We stayed here for 11 nights. The experience here was above our expectations. We booked for a deluxe room which I can advise you to do. Supernew room, everything clean, nice big shower and AC + safe included. Swimming pool also exquisit. For nice restaurants and experience, go to Koutouloufari (close to Mika Villas on walking distance). We avoided to go downhill to Chersonissos. Mika Villas has very kind staff and they do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible! Highly recommended!
The rooms are very basic and need to be thoroughly renovated ... the already renovated rooms are, in my opinion, too expensive. But it didn't matter much to me, it was clean, and I was only there to shower and sleep. Have taken breakfast twice, this was very good! plenty of choice, tasty and again very friendly service. The location where breakfast is served is therefore very nice, At the swimming pool. Just like the pool bar and the entire pool zone is a nice place to be. All in all, I had a very nice stay there, and will go back there, but hopefully a more recent room, but it is generally known that as a person traveling alone you will soon be pushed into a room of lesser quality ...
Mika Villas was amazing! We didn't know what to expect for the price that we were paying, but it was way better than we thought it was going to be.
We had a top floor room with pool view. Little but charming. The showers were a bit too small, but the owner is planning on renovating the bathroom anyway.
The pool was very clean, with new beds and the food and cocktails at the poolbar were a treat!
The location of the hotel was ideal:
-1 min walk to Piskopiano
-5 min walk to koutouloufari
-15 min walk to Chersonissos (downhill. Take a cab back for 7 euros, dirtcheap)
All these places have enough restaurants and shops to entertain you for the week. If you want to explore the island Mika Villas can arrange a full ensuranced rental car for a fair price.
But the best thing about Mika Villas was the staff that worked there. They make you feel so at home and will arange anything for you if you just ask.
(Shout out to Laura and Mino, thanks for a great time! Love, Vincent&Roos)
Just back from a week here with my boyfriend. We had room 114 nice and clean apartment right in front of the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. €40 for air con for the week. Definitely worth getting! Right in the village of Piskopiano. Nice restaurants and peaceful village. 20 min walk downhill to Hersonissos €7 taxi back. Great selection of restaurants, bars and clubs.
I stayed here a week with my boyfriend. The location is beautiful, a lot of green and it is nicely laid out. The staff is friendly. We had a dysfunctioning stove, which was fixed the same day by delivering us a separate hot plate. The location is perfect since it is only 20 minutes walk to old and new Chersonissos and the boulevard. The wifi also works well.
The rooms were okay. The bathroom is a 6, everything is there but it is not luxurious. Moreover, when you shower, the whole floor gets wet. Also, our toilet seat had some weird spots. The curtains in the bedroom do not keep out the light so the room is very light early in the morning. My boyfriend and I did not sleep well (woke up around 5 times per night). This was because the beds were hard, the cushions not comfortable and because of mosquitoes. I will definitely recommend burning citronella candles inside and burning incense outside. This kept away almost every mosquito for us. The rooms also do not keep out noise very well which does not help with sleeping well.
The kitchen contained cutlery and plates, but no cutting knives or spatulas. This is inconvenient since this is a must have for me when I cook. We bought our own. We booked a transfer from the airport (Heraklion) to Mika Villas, which was 35 euros - cheaper than regular taxis. My biggest recommendation to Mika Villas would be to renovate the rooms, especially the bathrooms!
What was a little annoying to us were the kind of people who book these kinds of accommodations. We are from the Netherlands and there were a lot of low educated people from the Netherlands - the kind who smoke and are noisy/ loud and have a lot of tattoos. I do not want to offend anybody by saying this, but I want to say this so people know what they can expect. Since my boyfriend and I do not like those people very much since they smoke and we were in their smoke while laying at the swimming pool and thus bothered us with their smoke. They were noisy which is also a bit annoying when you are relaxing in the swimming pool.
