My wife and I stayed at Hotel Wailea for our honeymoon after changing our original plans due to COVID. The hotel had recently reopened following Hawaii's reopening for tourism and we could not have been more satisfied with our stay in every respect. To start, the hotel upgraded us to an ocean view suite and left us with a bottle of champagne upon check in. The suite was very spacious with a comfortable lanai and most importantly, very private. The property is immaculate and beautifully maintained and the staff could not have been friendlier. Waking up to the sunrise with the sounds of various birds was a perfectly tranquil way to start the days. We ate breakfast in the hotel's restaurant most days, with stunning views of the property, ocean and neighboring islands. We also had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant while enjoying a quintessential Maui sunset. The pool area was very relaxing, including first come first serve cabanas, and we enjoyed stellar drinks, food and service any time we were there. The open air lobby with its newly installed bar and panoramic views was also a true joy. Also, the hotel's complementary local car service (in Tesla Model X cars) was convenient and we used it a few times during our stay.

Being an adults only hotel, I would highly recommend Hotel Wailea for honeymoon stays or couples just looking for a quiet escape. It met and exceeded all expectations and we feel very fortunate to have been able to stay here.

Everything was absolutely amazing ! The best part is they clean your room once your away . So you come back with a clean room every night . Absolutely love that service . Only thing that was very disappointing was the food that was on the menu that night . It was absolutely disgusting and very expensive.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious and very comfortable. View of ocean (and sunset) amazing! Staff could not be more gracious and helpful. Limited number of beach chairs was a small problem (probably Covid related) and very limited dining choices. (Nearby gourmet market was our mainstay for meals.)

Superb service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.
Anyone can build a hotel in paradise but it takes the right staff to make for a memorable stay. The room was comfortable and extremely clean and well maintained. The concierge, valets and room service were beyond reproach.

Hotel Wailea has something special that the other hotels down on the beach front are missing. We've stayed at two of "those" places down on the beach and Hotel Wailea comes out on top. You won't hear kids screaming, babies bawling or doors slamming in the hallways here. The rooms are like having your own apartment with separate living area, kitchen, bedroom and fantastic bathroom. They may only have one pool, but it's a fantastic one with a bar that serves great drinks and food. The grounds are complete with waterfalls, beautiful flowers, views and trees. Staff is first rate whether you are at the front desk or the pool etc. Don't forget about their restaurant, it's amazing. The food is excellent and their kitchen has been recently remodeled with state of the art equipment. We did a cooking class with chef Krista Garcia. What a fun experience that was!

Getting down to the beach is a quick one mile drive and they will take you whenever you want to go. Don't worry about finding chairs either on the beach, that's arranged as well. At the very least, give Hotel Wailea a try for a few nights, so you can experience how magical it is. There's nothing else like it on Maui, it's simply the best.

Unfortunately we did not use that service. Sorry it has taken me so long to answer your question. I highly recommend that resort, as it is the best on Maui.

Hi, we were able to get a late checkout at 2. We left our room at 2 and hung out until the ferry, it was fine, there is nowhere else to go without a car, so you are in a way, stuck at the resort, they didn't seem to mind. We only stayed 1 night as well, with no problem. On a side note, a day trip to shipwreck beach was amazing, We rented a jeep from the hotel. Have fun!
