I booked this hotel based on price and it included breakfast. I knew we’d be pressed for time and having breakfast on-site was important. They include OJ or coffee and that’s breakfast. Other hotels have offered wrapped muffins/prepackaged food or had someone serving breakfast, so it is possible to do during the pandemic. The room was also dirty, black hairs in the shower, someone Advil on the floor, yellow build-up behind the bathroom faucet. The walls are thin. I could hear all the traffic and a neighbor relieving himself. Not worth the money paid. You should say “no breakfast” and discount the price.
The bed was comfortable.
The staff on all shifts were wonderful. When I called before our trip to find out some details, they were very friendly. When I accidentally left my phone at the front desk after I checked in Daniel was so sweet when he located it and then making sure we had all the linens we needed for the sofa bed in our suite and extra towels. Our suite was huge!! We had the King suite with spa tub, fireplace and a balcony. It was clean, and updated with fridge and microwave. Did I mention the spa tub was awesome!!! It was the main thing I was looking for when booking a room this time around; and location with enough easy and accessible parking. This was at first a getaway with the hubby...he ended up having to work and couldn't get away. Sleep Inn and Suites is located on the tail end of the strip of Gatlinburg. We were out of the high traffic area but just a short walk from all the highlights. Because of Covid there wasn't a breakfast other than coffee and juice but there is a Flapjack's Pancake Cabin Restaurant down the non-busy way that was delicious, affordable and friendly (they don't mind if you share) the Barn Buster breakfast which was perfect for the three of us girls on our girls' trip! The sticky bun pancakes are mighty tasty!!! There is an indoor pool and small lazy river as well; we didn't use these facilities being we had a jam-packed weekend planned and spa tub in our suite but they looked clean and nice. I would definitely stay here again!! The outside and some things aren't fully updated but they are clean. Our suite was updated; I don't know what other rooms look like. The hotel can't help that Covid has made some restrictions to housekeeping/breakfast etc. Thank you, Sleep Inn and Suites, for the much-needed getaway! It was fabulous!!
We stayed here 2 nights. Paid $66 night. It was a bargain and in town. The staff were friendly. The room was suffice to. An older motel and could use some updates. It was clean. The shower head needed replaced, no pressure. Nice balcony. Ac worked good.
We reserved this hotel for two nights, Friday & Saturday. When we arrived, the man who checked us in was very efficient and it took less than two minutes.
This is an old hotel and it shows in common areas like the stairways and corridors which were not air conditioned, very hot. Our room had been refurbished and was fine. The only complaint the first night was the shower drain was very slow running so standing in a couple inches of water by the end of the shower. I called the front desk and they took care of it the next day while we were out.
This is just an average hotel room, nothing special but there was a small balcony for each room.
There was a sign in the lobby that due to COVID there would be no housekeeping service during our stay and no breakfast. I'm glad we only stayed two nights. For the price (s119/night+taxes) I expect to at least have the bed made and the trash emptied. I realize the hospitality industry was hurt hard by the stay at home orders issued most everywhere, but when they are not providing the usual food or service, but charging the regular prices, that doesn't seem right or fair to the customer.
Old hotel. “No Housekeeping” signs posted so you have to ask for new towels daily, toilet paper etc. No trash removal ALL week nor fresh bedding ALL week. No breakfast due to COVID-19, ok but not even a prewrapped sandwich which most other decent hotels do offer. King suite which had 2 rooms in it. Roll out bed has springs sticking out, hurt my son’s stomach. The a/c in front room doesn’t work properly which is a problem as the bathroom has Zero ventilation so that a/c has to be on to get it cooled off. The back a/c works & blows directly over the bed all night. The room hot tub is marked up and needs refinished. The pool and the hot tub especially smell very sour, it’s gross. Based on the pictures I was really looking forward to the pool area but I hardly got in. Condensation drips down where people sit on the lounge chairs. The main bed was comfortable. The girl at the front was sweet. When we asked the guy at the front what we should do with our towels he says “I don’t know, stick em outside your door and I’ll get em I guess”. Well thanks for the professionalism. It’s not like we know. I’ve stayed at many low end and high end hotels over the years and I picked this one for our family vacation to the Smokies based on amenities and pictures. A Sleep Inn should be comparable to a Comfort Inn, but I’d rate this one at a Rodeway Inn or even Motel 6 status. We should get some kind of refund for paying for amenities like basic housekeeping and a breakfast that was promised but not delivered but we’re still being charged for. So we’re paying our end of the deal for what isn’t provided plus spending extra for an outside breakfast. Truly disappointed for our family vacation!
