Hotel is well located in walking distance to downtown and very close to the baseball stadium. Hotel was recently renovated so it is very fresh. Has a nice gym with an outdoor pool. Nice view from the outdoor pool and even the gym as you look to the southeast over the city and into Mexico.
This is my second time staying at this property. I was very disappointed. The hotel was going through a renovation. The main entrance to the lobby was and still is under construction. You had to use a side entrance to enter the property. Some of the construction equipment is also taking up parking lot space as well. The inside of the hotel is already remodeled and is very up to date and modern. They had a bistro and Starbucks inside the hotel. I didn’t find the staff helpful at all. The women who checked me in was rude and cranky. I asked her if I can have a room with two beds as it stated in my reservation she gave away my room due to me checking in so late. Went to the room, the ac didn’t work very well. Had it set at 60 cold and high and constant fan. The temperature never down past 70. The bathroom toilet seat was VERY low to the ground. The paint chips were coming off from the bathroom wall, the shower was very stupid as the glass doesn’t close all the way as there is a pice of glass missing and when you take a shower half of the water falls out on the floor and I almost slipped on the water. Back to the room situation, I asked someone the next day to change rooms he told me not today but definitely tomorrow, I asked the next day and they made a big deal about me wanting to change, when I finally did that room had a lot of water stains on the ceiling. The only nice thing about the hotel was the close how close it was to I-10 and the El Paso airport, Ft. Bliss. It also is around many local shops, restaurants and a mall. It also had a nice pool, hot tub and fireplace outside with a grill.
I'm tour the country as a stand up comedian. So, it goes without saying that I stay at a lot of hotels. Every once & awhile, I get to stay at a hotel that makes me feel as close to home as possible. Now I have a new location I consider, My Home Away From Home. First, the hotel is clean, modern and very friendly. Every staff member I met had a smile and was attentive to all my needs. Secondly, location, just minutes from El Paso airport. Plenty of restaurants and night life nearby. Lastly, a great room! Big comfy bed, nice flat screen tv, couch, work area, clean bathroom, & big closet with plenty of hangers. Why is it some hotels only give you 3-4? I need 10 & that's what I got. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use the work out facility or pool, because I'm lazy & it was 30 degrees out. I highly recommend staying at the Courtyard Marriott next time you're in El Paso, Texas.
Tucked between a strip mall and I-10, this Courtyard isn't going to be known for its view but it definitely offers a nice place to stay regardless.
Kelly, who checked me in was very nice and the reception area was very inviting. My room was comfortable and quiet, but if you spend any time in the pool area, you will definitely notice the sound of traffic from the very nearby I-10.
Close to the airport, restaurants, and downtown El Paso I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me back.
We stayed here because our other hotel fell through. I was the cheapest hotel in El Paso as we were driving in, so we were a bit worried. Lucky for us, when we showed up it was a beautiful, new hotel. The staff was great and so was the pool! Great location too.
