This hotel is located exactly where you want to be in Little Italy. The staff is friendly and quick to help. Valet is a breeze. Good size rooms for the price. Room was clean and well supplied. They aren’t cleaning every day due to COVID, so they give extra towels in the room and provide more coffee or supplied toiletries if needed.

I live in the neighborhood and recently began staying at Porto Vista when my condo is either booked with AirBnB, or when I need to refer friends for a place to stay.

THE reason I stay at Porto Vista has everything to do with Nick. I overbook my condo on purpose or invite more friends than my place can accommodate because I can rely on Nick. He greets me by my name, remembers the type of room(s) I prefer, offers an early check in if available. Look. I could go on-and-on. Nick represents the property well and the employee I could see doing a better job is Nick’s Hiring Manager, for obvious reasons. 😂😂😂 5 Stars for Nick, and 5 Stars for his Hiring Manager and cleaning staff.

Great hotel, reasonable rates, and perfect location. A great home away from home.

They threw my family out and banned them for no reason. Just waiting for the elevator to the room. With the key I gave them and their names registered. Staff publicly shamed them and loudly slandered them to other guests. The room was paid for and checked into. Yet my family slept on the sidewalk. No refund was given for the unused room. High resolution cell phone cameras., everyone has them. Any attorneys out there?

This place is a low budget dump purely banking on its location. The property is severely neglected, filthy, and falling apart. Furniture is stained, dingy, or broken. My initial room had NO hot water or water pressure. You can hear everything above and outside of rooms so peaceful sleep is not a reality. Most of the hotel is “closed” dark unlit hallways that create strong safety concerns. To top it off, housekeeping stole a dress and scarf I left in the closet after my “no sleep” horrific 1 night there. Management is apathetic and just collecting a paycheck. This place should be shut down permanently.

We arrived at 10 pm after driving to San Diego this is what we found after walking into the room"

1. Sink was clogged
2. Tv screened was blurred and you could only see half of it
3. Queen bed

We asked to be changed to a different room -particularly one with a King bed size (family of three with a 5 year-old), front desk asked for $30 dollars in order to upgrade!!.

We got stuck in that room - using those $30 and the 30$ for valet next day we just moved to different hotel the next morning. Embassy Suites down the street... they actually have breakfast and huge rooms. Same price.

There is a preventative program in place to evict these non-welcomed pests. All rooms are on a scheduled cycle for this service.
