We had a really nice room with french doors that we could close to create 2 separate bedrooms...great so we could watch a movie after the kids went to bed. Even though our room (Lewis and Clark) was right over the lobby, we had almost no noise other than the occasional squeaking of the lobby/entrance doors. Since it was June 2020, covid was of course running rampant and everywhere, so there was no pool, no breakfast...but that was not a big deal to me, to be honest. We found a great breakfast diner 5 minutes away (Granny's) one morning and then literally walked across the hotel parking lot to the BBQ joint the other morning, which had pancakes bigger than your head! The thing that set this property apart, though, was the service...and it wasn't even the service we got while we were there (we didn't do much more than check in and out). Prior to arriving I had a number of issues with Travelocity (where we'd originally booked) and after talking to a very nice lady (whose name I don't remember) several times she was able to not only help us get the Travelocity issue resolved (thanks for nothing, Travelocity) but also got us a better rate than we were going to get! Thoroughly enjoyed Cody and would definitely stay here again when we come back!
My favorite hotel of the whole western trip! Things I loved: great check-in; road condition advice; cute stuffed animals for purchase; fireplace in our handicapped room; pool acessable for handicapped (two lifts) ; display of animals in lobby; "real" plates and silverware for breakfast; good restaurant in same parking lot.
Nice location and rooms were nice but the price was very high. We stayed there a couple of years ago for about $75.00 per room less. We thought the pricing was not very good. Will look for an alternate!
We lucked out when got to reserve this room because it was a same day resevation! It worked out really well! Need tobe aware that there is no elevator but it is only two stories. We loved that the windows opened. We were on the road for over two weeks so being able to have fresh air at night was welcomed! Front desk people were great!
I was greeted warmly by the two young ladies working the reception desk. They offered me a fresh cookie and very effectively checked me in. They even laughed at my stupid jokes. The room was clean and very comfortable. They even gave me a room with a Jacuzzi/suite. Since I had to stay an extra night I rebooked at the same hotel, and I was greeted the same way by the same young ladies. Although I didn’t get the suite again, the room was still very comfortable and I slept very good. I didn’t have the chance to check their breakfast since I was running late. But I have no doubt that it would’ve been just fine. If I ever return to Cody, they will be at the top of my list.
