it is a basic room, and basic breakfast. we stay to visit area flea market and general girls away weekend. so only need basic. best out the two motels in the city. The rooms are clean, they have a guest laundry. and 24 hour coffee in he lobby / dining area. Not a big breakfast. but adequate for a quick start. whirlpool and pool inside, we rarely use.

Upon check in , we had to wait for the front desk person to have a cigarette and come inside. The shower curtain bar was falling off the wall. The pool was cloudy and the spa had so much chlorine in it that it burned your eyes to be near it.

Response from Dawn W, General Manager at Wautoma Inn

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review even if they are not positive ones. The spa, does not contain any Chlorine in it at this time as we are in the middle of repairing it. The Pool gets tested 3-4 times a day and will be closed down if there is any issues with it. As far as the shower bar goes in your room- we cannot correct issues if you do not bring it to our attention and after cleaning all rooms during your stay- there was no shower bar found that was in bad condition as you stated. We have no documentation of you bringing any of these claims to our attention. We do apologize if staff was not at the desk at the time of your arrival, but front desk is allotted break times and is possible she did not see you standing at the desk. Again, we apologize your stay was not up to your standards. Thank you, Management

Not a good place to stay if your wanting sleep. Walls are too thin, you can hear just about anything going on all hours of the night, we had what sounded like someone stomping back and forth above us at 10 o'clock at night, went to have a look and it was the cleaning ladies. Who cleans the rooms when people need to sleep? Breakfast is ok, juice machine out of order, ice machine out of order, pool and hot tub most of the time covered and half the staff is rude. Our room was musty, tHere was mold on the winow which im allergic to, when i asked about moving to a different room, the woman at the counter said there are no rooms available. But when I would check all week, we had no more than 10 vehicles in the parking lot. The internet is also unsecured requiring no password, which for me for business is unacceptable. The chairs in the rooms, all the cushions sink out the bottom, some of the rooms are still box style tv, all of the old tvs they have replace with small flatscreens, they have stock piled behind the hotel along with all the old mattresses to what appears to most people as a dump site. The best thing the place had going is the price and a hot shower. Now I see why. If your wanting to stay somewhere decent, I'd stay elsewhere.

The ice machine was not working. The pool air burned the eyes, caused wheezing in some of our group. Breakfast? Many items were gone at 0830. No coffee creamer, nothing but 4 apples and the rest CARBS. Bread, hard biscuits, blueberry bagels. The juice machine was not working (much like the ice machine) so they made juice and put it in pitchers in a fridge. I did ask the desk person, she said that there was no more creamer, and brought out the blueberry bagels at that time. She was a bit annoyed to have to get up from her chair. There is a Borders down the road-will be going back there next time.
