what a lovely little hotel this is. Perfect for a October half term week away in the sun. The hotel is clean and tidy and the cleaners came around every day bar one. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate and there's a lidl just over the road for you to buy your essentials. We didn't use the pool area as it was quite shaded from the sun, assume that this was due to the time of the year and the height the sun gets to during the day, so we spent our days at the beach which is a very short walk (2 minutes). The only downside to the beach is the number of street sellers trying to sell you stuff. The port is about a 10/15 minute walk where there are plenty of restaurants to visit (Muddy's being a favourite of ours). The reception of the hotel is only open 9-5 and a number is provided for you to call out of hours. The only minor downside was that the café/restaurant attached to the hotel had closed for the winter.
All in all a cracking little hotel, would definitely return.
The Olive Beach is well situated to visit Alcudi for the market on a Sunday and Tuesday and also close to Port Alcudia with plenty of restaurants close by.
The Olive Beach it’s self has spacious apartments with 2 tv’s 1 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room picking up a small amount of English channels as well as Spanish channels the Wi-Fi is not very good at times but was enough for our needs it also has free Air con and safety deposit box in the bedroom of which you set the security code. The apartments are cleaned every day and fresh towels when needed we also had a large balcony which get the sun all day but the pool on the other hand is fresh water and a bit cold this was however in October but can imagine would be great in the summer months also plenty of sunbeds. The apartments also have security gates and to enter after 5pm you use your apartment card to enter. In previous reviews some say there is a night club close by but all the time we were there which was 12 nights I never heard anything from it as it is about a 100 to 150 yards away. All in all, a very pleasant stay thanks to you Olive Beach.
We stayed at the olive beach apartments for 10 days in August. We have never been self catering and was alittle anxious as to what to expect but needn't have worried. The apartment was very clean with all the necessary equipment. The weather was incredible if some what abit too hot on some days. The beach is a few minute walk away and is incredible we walked all the way to the port of Alcudia which is great. Lots of things to do my boys spent most of their time in the pool. Lots of places to eat locally we didn't struggle at all. Will definitely not worry about self catering again.
Stayed for a week in September as a couple. Apartments are really nice with all amenties you need. Bathrooms could do with an update and no shower door so it's more of a wet room and everything gets wet, including your make up as the only mirror in the apartment is the bathroom one.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and location is good. Only 5 mins walk to the beach but 20 mins from port or the restaurant and bars along the main strip in the other direction. Alcudia is bigger than you think.
You don't need to bring towels, they're all provided and beach ones to hire for 5 Euros each (can be changed every 3 days).
The pool area is nice but water very cold and takes a bit of getting used to.
Aldi 5 min walk for groceries but definitely go to the market in Old Town either Sunday or Tuesday, loved it. Its more like a 25 min walk tho.
Whoever is reading this you'll love it.
Me & my partner stayed at an olive beach apartment for 4 nights in mid September. The rooms are fairly clean, not bad for a 3 star. The beds were comfy & the apartment is well equipped. A nice big balcony with sun loungers & a BBQ! 2 air con units, however, they both were temperamental & kept leaking water & ice & sometimes came up with error codes. 2 TV’s which included English channels. There were a few bugs on the kitchen counter on a couple of nights but once RIP’d it wasn’t an issue & there weren’t any elsewhere.
There was little too no noise on a night, the main areas of Alcúdia was around a 10-15 minute walk in either direction. The beach was quoted only 50 metres away online, however, it was more like 150 metres (2 or 3 mins walk). We had a lovely meal at Roma pizzeria & steak house, the mushroom & truffle filled pasta & peppercorn chicken was amazing! Even the cocktails were the best we had all holiday (San Francisco).
The resort was pretty quiet (which we didn’t mind) the pool is a decent size for the size of resort but wasn’t in the sun after around 4pm due to multiple high rise buildings which did over look our apartment balcony & pool. The staff were friendly (I believe it’s just mother & son who run it) & reception hours are 9-4/5.
Overall it’s been a nice holiday & a nice resort. The weather was good for the time of year, hot & sunny with occasional clouds. Varying from 25-32c in the day & never lower than 20c on a night. Overall, We would recommend the Olive Beach Apartments.
