Together with my 2 kids I went to this Alltours run family hotel the first week of the main public holiday in Europe.

The good:
-Price: compared to other All Inc on Mallorca this one was about 15% cheaper. With 3 persons that is about 300 euros.

-Food: they have one big buffet. Some people commented that there is not much choice and it is all the same. That is true to some extent: you can always get pizza pasta fries paella, but they try to include 3 or 4 different other choices each day. Besides: always fresh fish and excellent dessert table. For some reason they hardly offer beef.

-Service: excellent, non visible as it should be.

-Swimming pool and beds: swimming pool is adequate, but for once they have made sure that there are more than enough beds and parasols. Remember: I was here peak season.

-Visitors: this is a German Alltours run hotel. That means 80-90% of the visitors are German (rest is Dutch/Belgian), all communication is in German, all shows are in German. For me that is a good thing. Remember that this is a family hotel and German families are polite, easy going, non-intrusive and most important: don' t drink alcohol all day long.

-The exchange bar. Most hotes have a place where you can look for old books. Here they have extended that to almost everything. Parasols, airbeds even sunscreen. Very usefull

The bad:
-No water bottles. You can not drink the tap water in spain. Every all inc hotel I have been to in Spain offers bottles of drinking water for the night. Not here. There is not even a place to get clean water after 11pm. You are forced to buy it yourself. For this alone they loose a star.

-No (free) towel service: how can you have an all inc hotel without poolside towel service? They have towels that you can rent.

-Fitness room: it is locked. You can get a key but need to pay a 10 euro deposit and they only have 2(!)

-No free wifi. Prices are not expensive (10 euro for a week). Wifi is adequate but not enough to e.g. watch netflix.

-Visitors: already described above as a good point. But if you don't speak German you might want to consider a different hotel.

The ugly.

-Rooms: Pretty basic 2 room. Noisy. A bit old fashioned. Airco available. Beds are good. The Hot water pressure in the shower is not enough to thoroughly rinse long hair. Rated 3 star and I agree.

Ciudad Laurel was a good choice for my wife and I with our 1 year old baby. Baby bed was provided as well but be aware of the noises that can be heard in other rooms and outside as the walls are a bit thin and the front door is not exactly sound-proof.

But, those things aside, the food was delicious and varied every day so it was never boring. The staff was also excellent - I have to give a special thanks to the crew who worked during eating times as they have a lot to do and are quite busy but were always friendly and ready to help out when needed or answer questions. They were always especially nice to our little boy who always had a smile for the ladies working there. :)

The pool has ample sunbeds for everyone (never had to "reserve" a bed) and the kids pool was definitely a good attraction as well and keeps the kids busy.

Headed to the beach? Only 5-10 min. walking distance from the hotel where there are also plenty of restaurants and stores to visit for souvenirs and whatever else you may have forgotten to pack before you left. :)

The animation team for the kids was always busy keeping the little ones entertained and when they weren't doing that, they were in preparation for other shows that they had planned for other days. Definitely a hard-working group there as well.

All in all, if you're looking for some sun and relaxing with some extra activities to keep the kids busy for the day, you would have a good choice here.

A super hotel with happy smiling staff. Food was also fine lots of choices my two sons never complained once we all took afew kilos on.My sons like the All incl free soft drinks and icecream machine which you help yourself all day long. The pool was alittle too small they must have done a great job with photoshop the picture from the website its seems very large. The rooms were ok nothing to say about them really, just a place to sleep.Towels were not always clean. This is a German hotel and entertainment is 100% german. We were very happy after our 10 day stay at this hotel for a 3 star hotel it runs very smoothly. We will return again next year
