Not one of the best hotels we've stayed at. The room was VERY basic and the shower was tiny. The sink blocked up and I ended up cleaning it out myself (not pleasant). The room was shabby, as was the whole hotel which is in need of a complete refurbishment. However, the beds were made every day and clean sheets provided during the week and we got clean towels every day.
The swimming pool is quite large but the internal edges of the pool were filthy. In fact the whole maintenance of the hotel left a lot to be desired.
The bar and outside area was OK, but the bar manager was a little surly and unwelcoming although the rest of the staff tried their best. Ordering food and drink was silly, we ordered off one person, was served by someone else and paid a third person !! Ordered a club sandwich with French fries as a side dish and a couple of beers , the fries came 10 minutes before the sandwich, the beers came ten minutes after the sandwich all served by different people, so it felt totally disorganised.
Parking is limited in the hotel grounds and they charge 10 euros per day, but you have to go to reception to ask them to open the gate whether you're entering or leaving because the keypad didn't work
Breakfast is the typical continental one, slices of ham, salami, cheese, rolls etc. the same every day.
There is a snooker table in the lounge area but the cloth is ripped to shreds and kids were jumping all over it and no-one said or did anything about it.
We don't recommend this hotel and wouldn't go again. Try Harry's Hotel which is 50 yards away. Much better !!

Rosemary and I are just back from a very enjoyable long week-end at The Hotel Amalfi. First off, Francesca and the rest of the staff on the reception were all very helpful, pleasant and professional. The room was adequate and although dated, was comfortable and the air conditioning work a treat. The bathroom was small but this is to be expected from a hotel built in the 1960's. I had a shave every day and a shower at least twice a day with no problems. The breakfast was good and the two coffee machines in the dining room were great. The trick is to press for a cuppachino and then top up with a shot of espresso.., perfect cup of coffee. The pool was very good and was a good size and not too crowded, we could not have done without it with the tempitures being so high. The private beach was also a Godsend. I would go back to Amalfi and I would reccomend this hotel. Tip for a great restaraunt in LDJ is 'Rustico'. Rstaraunt.'.

Away for the week with friends! Have been to the resort before but not this hotel. Facilities for the public are good but not if you are actually staying there.
State of the rooms seem to differ. Our bed was extremely low. Our bathroom not too good. Large crack ran all along the back of the sink, which didn't look very nice. The toilet was so close to the shower I did bang my head on the bottom of the toilet cistern when I bent down in the shower. As shown in some of the photos I was a bit worried about some of the electrics, especially the ones by the bed. However the rooms were clean and fresh towels everyday.
The dining room ... where do I begin? Constantly short of cups at breakfast time. They need to throw out all the chipped or broken cups and plates. Needs someone to keep an eye on the cutlery situation a keep a good supply of everything. How they ran out of eggs one morning is beyond belief ....when there is a supermarket down the road. Waiters need to trained properly and not stand over you waiting for you to finish your meal to take your plate away ... not good! Ordering drinks was a bit complicated too. Also the menu had to be translated into English for us each day and the descriptions sometimes was nothing like we got. Goggle came out better.
Plus side
The pool was beautiful because we were virtually the only ones in it.
Bar and karaoke - well organised and run efficiently. If as much effort was put into the diningroom it would be a lot better.
The girls on reception were excellent except when one of our party fell down the stairs opposite the reception. It was another patron that went to her aid ... nobody moved from the desk or asked if she was alright after.
It was a good thing there was a group of us because it became comical as the week went on, to see what else could go wrong!
They all work hard and are polite but need to do better.

Stayed there three nights. The rooms was OK. Great view over streets. I think it's in the other end of the streets were the party takes place. Many people on the streets in the weekends.

The pool at the hotel was over-crowed with towels the nobody was using - so you had to get up early. The bartender at pool was soooo slooow. And were away from the bar most of the time.
There was cockroaches at the toilet near the reception. Ew!

This was me and my partners first trip away, so it was nice that the hotel was this good ! there were a few bad points, but in our opinion, they come no where near to matching the amount of good points !

Arrival

the hotel is on the main strip of Lido Di Jesolo ! the car park is situated behind the hotel , its worth noting that they charge €5 per day for parking. there is ample parking on the road however its pay and display , and at 1€ per hour it soon becomes expensive. the gate is opened by a key fob that the hotel staff have so to get in and out you need to go to the check in desk. there are about 25-30 spaces in the secure carpark . check in is until 12 and check out is 10am handily if you want to pay a little extra you can extend your stay until 3 or 7 if you need a little longer.

the location

this hotel is perfect if you have a rental car (which i highly recommend) its far enough away that its not too quiet but its on the bustling strip in Jesolo which means there is lots of choice for food and drink ! its about 40 seconds from the back door to the beach which is really nice ! it takes around 20 minuets to get to Punta Sabbioni which is where all the boats to venice and the surrounding islands launch from. there is also a smaller port called tripolti which is best for using the water bus. there is a shopping center supermarkets fast food restaurants and a sealife center all about 6 minuets away via car.

The Room

nearly all the rooms have a balcony the higher up you go the smaller they get but the smallest ones were still more than big enough. the windows and doors have a plastic shutter that works as a blackout blind or a sort of fly screen pulling ups slightly reveals small gaps for airflow and light. the rooms seemed soundproof enough for us to sleep with the music from the nearby bars. the room could do with some paint its a bit dated but nothing bad . it was fairly dark with only one big light in the room. the room its self was very clean, and the room was cleaned well every single day. the bathroom was a good size but was a large step up from the main room, it had a really nice shower which was easy to control however the room was a wet room meaning the shower did tend to flood the bathroom. the bed was really comfy however the bed was two singles pushed together so occasionally they slipped apart. the room had a safe but i could not find a key, it could have possibly been the room key but we did not need to use it so i never tried. the air conditioning did not seem to work but it may have been switched off as it was not that hot. overall it was a really nice experience

Staff
the staff in the reception and the restaurant were friendly, helpful, attentive and always had a smile. everyone spoke good english and were always polite.

Restaurant and Food
The on site Restaurant was fantastic the prices were really good the staff were very friendly and helpful they had happy hour everyday on alcohol and the food was the biggest and the best i had in Italy . Every night there was live music and karaoke which gave the area a nice vibe it was a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal and had the best atmosphere in the area

The Beach
the beach was 40 seconds away and was really nice the water was warm and clear there were lots of crabs walking around and there is lots of small piers going out into the sea. each hotel had a block of sunbeds and Parasols including hotel Amalfi !

Overall

I would recommend this hotel ! the room was nice it could be brighter but its clean and spacious. the staff are nice the parking is good and he food is fantastic the pool was closed during our visit but we did know this prior to booking however it would have been nice if it were open as many others were.
