We arrived at this hotel 30 minutes after our check-in time. The room was just being cleaned when we arrived and we had to wait until they finished cleaning the room after a 6 hour drive. When running bath water, the shower would also run and there was no way to turn it off. For being a new hotel, the rooms were pretty dingy. The final straw was having to rekey our card every single time we left the room. The front desk was constantly on their cell phones and on personal calls. There was no acknowledgement when we would walk in.
We were told we had to wait for the manager to come to discuss a refund...so we were waiting in the room for her. Apparently, the manager had some type of emergency. We were never advised or updated that she wouldn’t be in. I had to go to the front desk and inquire about the status of the manager. I had to wait for the receptionist to put her phone down as she was on a personal call before asking for an update. The girl at the front desk was very rude, stated that the manager said she wasn’t coming in and we would be charged. When my fiancé went to the front desk he overheard the front desk receptionist complaining about me to the manager. The manager was very sympathetic to the situation and advised us on how to get a refund through the online booking agent. Needless to say, we will not be back and don’t recommend this place if you are staying for more than one night or have to leave the room.
