I stayed at this hotel in May 2019 with my daughter and my parents. We booked two rooms. My parents needed an accessible room for my Dad. We were given two rooms on the first floor, close to each other. Full disclosure: the hotel is doing renovations, and our room was a work in progress. If you have no tolerance for occasional clutter in the parking lot or sidewalk, you might want to wait a bit before coming here.
That being said, our visit was fantastic from start to finish. Little extras everywhere! Check in was easy, with a lovely and polite staff. Both rooms were very comfortable, and newly mostly renovated. :) Fresh paint, updated lighting. The staff apologized that the furniture had not yet been updated. The beds were clean and comfortable. There is a loveseat, coffee table, and desk, so plenty of places to put things, or sit and work. Microwave and mini fridge both there. A big shower with great shower head and water pressure. Lots of fluffy pillows on the bed. The decorative light on the bathroom mirror was well balanced by overhead lights so I could put on my makeup. (Don't knock this. I just went to a Marriott that only had the decorative recessed light behind the mirror, and it was a pain to deal with).
The breakfast area was typical Days Inn fare, with a little extra. Three hot offers, yorgurt, cereal, breads, waffle maker. And a large dish of freshly cut fruit. The breakfast area is typical, until you look up. There is a balcony above, with painted decorations and a ceiling painted to look like a sky. Almost like eating on a terrazzo!
One requested change for the breakfast/ reception area: The public family bathroom is kept locked. A sign by the door informing guests that they may get the key from the receptionist would be helpful. We just thought it was occupied for about ten minutes.
We visited the pool twice on our visit. The receptionist gave us extra towels. The pool is small, but pretty with a waterfall, and curved footprint to make it interesting. It wasn't quiet: there is a junkyard a few hundred yards behind the hotel and we could hear the cars being crushed while by the pool. Thankfully, we never heard them while in our rooms! Good soundproofing!
Finally, arranging our shuttle to the airport at 5am was simple. And more little extras! The driver brought the shuttle down to our rooms so Dad wouldn't have to travel the distance to the reception area. She also brought us a couple of care packages: water, muffin, and granola bars.
The area around the airport is diverse and eclectic. The local mall is walking distance, and there you can shop for groceries, grab breakfast at Denny's, or have some of the best seafood I've had in a while.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and it's lovely staff.
