While this is a very large property the swimming pools (2) are private home sized and very crowded. Also the miniature golf area is also very small. Overall the property was nice, but the carpets in our unit were very dirty. They definitely need to be replaced. The living room furniture was very nice and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked as far as dishes and pots and pans go. The beds were comfortable as well. Our patio was very small and only enough room for three people as one of the chairs was broken. Some of the maintenance and housekeeping areas need to be paid more attention to.
I am here now, staying for a week with my family in a 2/2. We face the highway, so the balcony is useless. Our little section of rooms are alone in an area with no amenities. It requires a car to get to the pool. The pool is nice, overlooks the mountains and the city. But closes at 9 pm. On a gorgeous summer night, it closes at 9. Everything does, the pool tables, the pool and hot tub. I’m on vacation and everything here closes at 9. The weather is amazing, the stars are starting to shine, and we are kicked out, barely after sunset. Quite a dealbreaker for ever coming back here. The room is lovely. Needs a little work but otherwise no real complaints. Beds are comfy and air conditioning works great. I wouldn’t call this a resort. If I need a car to get to a pool it’s no resort. This is perfect if you just need a nice room with plenty of space. Close to shopping and the trolley stops outside (down a steep hill) every half hour.
We love the location off the main busy section but close to everything. The room was great.Only complaints were no spatula or baking tray.
Beds and pillows were amazing and that is always a big complaint about vacations.
Very nice place to stay. Close to everything, the only drawback is the living room furniture is very uncomfortable. You would think they could find some better chairs and a couch. The only other drawback is the high pressure to attend timeshare presentations
Just finished a four night stay for my first trip to the PF/Gatlinburg area. The Club Wyndham resort was well located for access to Dollywood, restaurants, attractions and dining. But also set away from the chaos of the main strip. We spent our first day relaxing by the pool. I was surprised at how small and unspecial the pool area is for this type of resort. It got crowded very quickly. And they have zero umbrellas for shade.
We were in a recently renovated room in Bldg 14. The 2 bedroom suite was very nice and spacious. It was clean and well stocked. Our only issue was the amount of noise we heard from our upstairs neighbors. It literally sounded like a herd of elephant was staying upstairs from us.
My only big issue with this resort is the "concierge staff" which ate actually timeshare sales sharks. You have to talk to them to get your resort wristbands when you checking. It is a miserable experience and they do the full on high pressure sales pitch. They also run a credit check on you if you show any inkling of any interest in their tour. Needless to say, keep saying "no" and just get your wristbands and leave. And I wish Wyndham would have more respect for their guests than putting them through this, especially at check in.
