Me and my partner have stayed here a few times. If you do decide to stay here I would definitely recommend to buy a room with a balcony. The first room we stayed in just had a window looking onto a car park. The noise is minimum however around late January it can be loud at night time with all the students coming back. The bedrooms are nice. Bathroom facilities are good. Cleaners came everyday to empty bins. One drawback was the kitchen facilities. There is a fridge on each floor but it is small and you struggle to fit your food in as there's so many people living there. As well there's not many utensils and was hard to dry dishes as sometimes there'd be no kitchen towel. Staff reception were friendly and always helpful. There's plenty washer/dryer machines. Setback was the coffee machine always seemed to not work.

Finally a room in this price range with some ventilation! It's in a university area so not the most happening places but after staying in the city at wakeupsydbey and southern hotel.. To finally have a window to open and trees outside is great! The room is very clean.. Don't know why the other reviews are so bad.i have a private room with loo attached..For the money is great

We stayed here over Christmas and New Years, I was so excited to get into a “hotel” as we had been hostels for weeks!

We arrived and were able to check in, our room was alright the bedding was clean. We were in a shared bathroom, the sinks and showers weren’t too bad however the toilets were DISGUSTING they had not been cleaned there were tissues all over the floor, dried blood on the seats and urine and there was no soap! We did complain and they “cleaned” the toilets however it still was not good enough! I ended up buying my own cleaning wipes before using the toilet!

Also the kitchen is a joke, there is a little kitchen on each floor which is pointless! and a main kitchen to cook in however there is only one hob and cooker for way too many people and there is hardly any pots and pans and you’ll b lucky if you can find a knife or fork! Also the fridge is packed and you can’t fit any food in as they are tiny!

We asked for our room to be cleaned and our bed sheets to be changed....it never got done! The only thing they did is empty the bin each day and they didn’t even bother to place the bin back where it belonged which meant when you came into your room after being out during the day you would trip over it!

The best thing about this place is the $2.00 washing.

The transport to the centre and other places were easy and good made it better as you could spend as much time away from the place.

Don’t waste your time or money staying here!!!

Absolutely appalling customer service. Manager rude and hostile - frankly she embarrassed me in front of my own party on check in by blanking my friendly chat and glaring at me. When I went to get access to room at 2pm check in time I was told they had overbooked and had no room for me, and to take a seat. There was no further communication from the totally unprofessional female member of staff whyo then proceeded to continue to deal with other customers. After 20 minutes I had to approach her to ask what was being done to which she again said I would just have to wait. I sat with my backpack for over an hour waiting for a room to become free. NOT acceptable when already booked and paid for - and staff were incompetent idiots. It felt like the place had only just opened for business and nobody had a clue about the running of accomodation or customer service. The only positive. The male employee who took over from the awful female (who didn’t mention she was leaving or update in any way) really did his best in the impossible situation his manager had created and had service with a smile even though he had had no handover or briefing. He’s your only decent point and should be praised. DONT BOOK HERE it’s a shambles.

My mate and myself stayed here for 9 nights in January. Absolutely brilliant for the amount of money we paid. Small enough room but had two beds, a desk and an ensuite. Perfect for our needs as we were literally only sleeping there. There were plenty of common areas that were kept clean and tidy. There was a kitchen facility but we always ate out so never used this. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend people to stay here.
