Once again, a beautiful stay. If you need an escape from the world then this is the place. Outstanding dinner and scrumptious breakfast! We stayed in the Granary Steps this time, a beautiful room with super comfy bed! Look forward to returning again!
Stayed for 2 nights recently - only wished we could stay more. Apart from the accommodation (warm, spacious en suite rooms with fabulous views of the Welsh countryside), the breakfasts....oh my goodness - the phrase " to die for" doesn't cut it. There was fresh fruit (grapefruit, kiwi, grapes, you name it)various cereals (including granola and muesli). Homemade bread, free range eggs and locally sourced sausages, bacon and meats, all beautifully prepared (full vegetarian breakfasts also), then a variety of pastries to go with the freshly made coffee. Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. I'm guilty of overeating but it was a joy to do....will be back
We completely fell in love with The Outbuildings + just had to have our wedding reception there! The venue was perfect for us. The views were just spectacular + made for a wonderful backdrop for photos! It had everything we were looking for + even enough bedrooms for close family members to stay.
Living quite a distance from Anglesey proved a challenge with the planning, however Millie the wedding planner + team made it so easy to email + arrange everything from the food tasting to the finer details of the day, offering helpful suggestions. The staff all worked so hard on the day to help everything run smoothly. The food was simply amazing, the chefs are very talented + the fact you could plan the menu/ingredients meant you could really make it your own.
So many of our guests commented on the stunning location, friendly staff + beautiful food. Everyone on the day was amazing + really helped to make it feel special. We would highly recommend it as a wedding venue in a beautiful part of North Wales!
We stayed 2 nights in Granary Steps room as we had our dog with us. Staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is very good. We ate in both nihhts and really enjoyed the food, 2 choices for all courses which was perfectly fine, great choice of breakfast dishes. Decor is simple in public areas and rooms. Only criticism is that the shower is prone to erratically switching from warm to boiling hot to freezing cold as other guests flush the loo or switch on taps.
I got married at The Outbuildings last Saturday (13th July) and had the most amazing day. The venue is a gorgeous farmhouse in the middle of rural Anglesey with incredible views across the surrounding fields and mountains of Snowdonia. We had full hire of the whole place for the weekend with 5 lovely bedrooms. There are so many amazing points to note about The Outbuildings but I’ll summarise the highlights!
1. The food was absolutely incredible. We were allowed to design our wedding breakfast menu completely from scratch– we started off by sending the chefs a list of foods we liked and they came back with some proposals which we were able to tweak as much as we wanted. We narrowed it down to 3 starters, mains and desserts which we were able to offer as advance menu options to our guests which we thought was so much nicer than some other wedding venues which only give guests 1 basic option (meat or veggie!). We had 110 wedding guests all with different orders/combinations and some with dietary requirements etc. and the food came out absolutely perfectly and everyone commented on it. The canapés and evening food options were also delicious. And the breakfasts we had each morning we stayed there were incredible!
2. The staff were lovely. Millie was our main point of contact and she was amazing and incredibly helpful and responsive at all hours of the day and no matter how stupid our questions were! She also had some fantastic recommendations for suppliers and was just completely invaluable on the day. Jackie who worked there over our wedding weekend was also absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her.
3. The personal feel of the wedding was another real highlight for us. They only hold a certain amount of weddings a year and pride themselves on not being a ‘wedding factory’ which felt really special. We had the venue to ourselves for the whole weekend which gave us time to decorate and gave us some space for our friends and family to gather and meet us/help out over the weekend. It really felt like home. They also gave us a print of The Outbuildings personalised with our name and date after it was all over which was such a nice touch.
4. The views! We had a tipi in the garden which opened out over beautiful rolling fields which made such an amazing backdrop for photos. There are also some lovely wooded areas around which the photographer commented on. Am so excited to get our professional photos back with that amazing backdrop!
Thank you so much Millie & everyone else at The Outbuildings for the best weekend!
