I was hesitant to book this Avid hotel for a one night stay because it was so cheap, but I am a firm believer in Tripadvisor reviews (from people that have reviewed more than one hotel) and I agree with the other positive reviews 100%. This place was amazing for the price! The rooms are a little small, but how much room do you need at a hotel? There was a gigantic TV with a lot of channels and options in the room. The room was clean and modern and I really appreciated the large bottles of lotion and shampoo instead of tiny little sample size bottles. There was even a mini-fridge in the room. The best part was the amazing array of choices at breakfast. Unlike other hotels right now that are handing you a sack with a couple of items, they had fruit, hot and cold cereal, muffins, bagels, Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits, and more. I felt very safe here, there was hand sanitizer everywhere, including inside and outside the elevator. Again, it was a bargain price for a great motel. I will definitely stay here next time I'm in OKC.
This would be a nice hotel had the property been clean. There was trash on the tables outside from when we got there in the early afternoon and was still there at checkout- late morning. Pool was dirty and had growing on the sides- a sign of poor maintenance. Charged one item for $3 to room and then at checkout they didn’t want me to get a receipt- said I didn’t need one. Glad I demanded one- they tried to overcharge me for the item. He said he refunded it, but I was still charged on my credit card. Also ac in room shut off in the middle of the night and wouldn’t come back on for hours. Tried to call front desk no answer. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.
This is my first stay at any Avid brand hotels. I was visiting OKC area and stayed for 1 night. It's my first travel since COVID19, and it's sort of my "test drive" for traveling again. For a quick visit for 1 person traveling, this hotel worked great! It's basically right next to the mall but far enough to be not noisy; very close to several restaurants (walking distance to a couple). I stayed at a one king bed room. The room is on the smaller side but everything in there is quite efficient on space-using (well-design). It's fairly new and clean. It has a standing shower, no tub.
Free breakfast included but due to COVID19, they stopped serving the hot dishes and everything is individually wrapped/packaged. The coffee station is always there for you to use. It also has a small outdoor pool and a fitness room (which has free weights up to 50 lbs, regular cardio machines, as well as a station one can do all sort of exercise using body weight).
The bed is a bit on the soft side to me (I like hard bed, so just for your reference), but it's not that bad all things considered. I like the shades since it can really block most of the light from outside for sleeping in. Overall, a good rate for a quick stay works for me!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The mall is within walking distance and lots of opportunity for restaurants. Needed help storing some items for a morning presentation and the staff found room for it to keep it safe.
What a great hotel. It was very convenient and easy to find. The room was clean and has plenty of space. Cassandra was awesome at check in and she made a special batch of cookies for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
