We have been here numerous times. We brought 8 other people with us and from the start it was a disaster! We have people all over us from the moment we checked in about masks, and "where are you going?" Yes, we actually had a person ask us, where are you going??? We know our way around the complex, and my husband was going outside to the pool area to smoke (can't smoke in the casino anymore). If you were not wearing your mask exactly like they wanted they would tell you to adjust your mask!! It was insane!. We had an employee come out to our table at the pool, and take a drink out of one of our guests hand!! Litterrally took it out of his hand!! I guess because he brought a can of beer down from his room, and didn't buy it at the their bar... they kept closing different entrances, so if you left and came back, you never knew where you were going to park. Now, for the best part, this morning at approximately 6:30 am, my husband was heading to the casino floor to get coffee, and an employee by he front desk yelled at him and said, "Sir, where do you think you're going?".... my husband stopped in his tracks, in shock and said I'm going to get coffee... the employee then said you cannot go down there, the entire casino is closed until 8am. There were no signs, no stantion ropes, closing it off, so he asked how do I get out to our car (in the garage, without walking through the casino? Oh, you have to be escorted out by security, they said! So, in case of a fire or any other emergency, they are going to escort the entire hotel out to their cars??? It was insane!! It was like we were being held prisoner... I have never been so scrutinized and watched in my entire life... as I said, we have been there many times in the past, but never again!! I caution anyone wanting to go... be prepared.
Our stay at the Hard Rock was very disappointing and we do not plan to stay here again. Although the hotel was vigilant in cleaning due to Covid 19 and the beds were extremely comfortable, everything else was lacking. We booked our room as part of a wedding party. The blocked rooms were not together and on multiple floors which was inconvenient and frustrating. Our room was clean but dated and the refrigerator and bathroom outlet did not work. They did provide us with a replacement refrigerator and the non-working outlet was not discovered until the morning when trying to get ready. Because of Covid 19, the ice machines were understandably not functioning. However, it took 1 hour and two phone calls to get ice. Food was not allowed in the sitting area of the pool which made it difficult for those with children. We ate at the HWY 66 Diner. The food was good but one of the orders was wrong. They offered to correct the order, but everyone was done eating before it was delivered. Upon check out, we advised the representative of the room issues which she noted, but we did not even receive an "I'm sorry." We have stayed at other Hard Rock properties and anticipated the same experience. Unfortunately, this property failed.
I love HardRock Hotel! I've been going there for several years often. The staff are very friendly and helpful! The very large no smoking section is a fun place to play.
I like the suites tower because it is over the no smoking gaming area. The rooms are large and they have great large showers. (downside the rooms are dark - has dark wood and the windows have a reddish tinting- I'm pretty sure that was a mistake done years ago LOL). The beds are comfortable and the cleaning staff do amazing at cleaning the rooms!
Concerts there are fun and there are a variety of genres on a nightly bases. The pool is exciting and fun. There are several restaurants there that I miss, especially Tobey Keith and the 66 diner.
The Hotel staff are welcoming and work to accommodate! The hosting staff also work hard and do an excellent job making our experience pleasant, safe and fun.
Wish I could say I always win at the slots-lol, not quite! There is some remodeling going on and I'm excited to see the improvements
(I apologize if this sounds like I work for Hardrock, I do not!)
Stayed in Cherokee tower, it was fine but was told next time to reserve a room in the Hard Rock tower as you can adjust the temp in room to a better degree, nicer rooms....too cold to get in pool but our room looked down on it and it looked like fun.
The music playing in the casino was awesome. Had alot of luck at slots. Food at buffet was disappointing (cold) but its a casino buffet so. Food in other areas was typical casino type offerings. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We rec'd comp Charlie Daniel tickets when we got our rewards cards issued, that was nice. One note if you are used to playing in casino's in Vegas...this is in Tulsa and you will not get free drinks while playing in casino. That was a shock but I was told the City did not allow that (Indian Casino)....so its true for all casinos in Tulsa... not thier fault but you need to be prepared for that.. Best of all was the convenience of the airport shuttle!! We left for the airport at 5 a.m. and not a problem. We will definately stay there again when visiting family.
Let me start with the good - the table games are lots of fun, the music is great, check in was quick and easy. We had a King room in the Suites Tower which was nice. Shower was HUGE. They keep the casino area pretty clean for the amount of people that are there. The non-smoking areas are nice too. The adult pool area is fun and they have free bottled water. The pool bartenders are fabulous and very efficient. Parking garage is sufficient.
Now to the not so good - you have to pay an ante to play a hand of cards so each hand costs $.50 to play. The food in the restaurants - and we went to Toby Keith's, Replay, the diner and the buffet - all of the food was sub par. Toby Keith's has a very limited beer menu - not everyone drinks light beer. Riffs had music ONE night out of the entire Labor Day Weekend. The tables in the Replay bar were filthy - even though they appeared to have been cleaned. The elevators were filthy as well. Melted ice cream, dirty spoons, water bottles, etc. Does nobody check those things?? The "lighted make up" area in the room was so dark there was no way anyone can see anything. We never saw housekeeping and we were there 2 nights. We made up our own room at 6:00 p.m. The temperature in the casino is freezing so take a sweatshirt regardless that its 90 degrees outside. From the Suites Tower, you have to walk all the way through the casino in your swim suit to get to the pool - not a great design. Take a cover up!!
We did have fun despite the food and the temps in the casino so just be prepared to take care of yourself, bring a sweatshirt and bring some snacks for your room just in case you get hungry.
