Stayed overnight with the indulgence package was amazing very enjoyable beautiful food and surroundings in the Werribee mansion gardens make sure u have the spa treatment A+ service from Anthony and Jodie room 313
After checking in, we found our room to not be the ‘Superior Room’ that it purported to be (it was clean but the decor was very ordinary, all surfaces were peeling, and room was quite small) so we rang through to reception for a change, which they nicely upgraded us to a Junior Suite. We did not like the stainless steel bench and basin in bathroom, reminded us of a public toilet...and stepping up over a big ole spa bath to have a shower was probably not ideal either! The blind was broken that you pull up to exit balcony door also. Carpet was worn with a stain or two. Furniture was basic BUT...it did have THE best bed bc ever!! Soft and sumptuous, it felt like we were sleeping on a cloud!! We had the most wonderful nights sleep, and I guess that’s the main thing..right?!! All staff were very lovely and keen to help! Loved the pink lift!!! Loved the mansion and wander through the garden, especially the stunning rose garden! A MUST SEE! Thank you 😊
Stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The main attraction at Werribbe Mansion are all the parts except the hotel. The rooms are tired and not well appointed. If the room was half the price it would be great, but this mob are trying to position themselves as a 5 star hotel but being lazy due a captive audience and outstanding surrounds. The stainless steel bathroom vanity is bizarre and poorly lit it looks like a morgue. Except a morgue is cleaner.
We had a large number of family and friends stay at the mansion for 1 – 2 nights for a wedding. We were disappointed with the accommodation, upon arrival there was an issue with our booking despite us calling earlier during the week to confirm. As you can imagine we had a large amount of luggage and boxes to bring, there were no porters, and no one offered to assist us with taking our luggage to the room, we did countless trips to the cars, while the reception staff watched us.
We found the accommodation rooms small, and the bathrooms were dirty. The bathrooms did not appear to have a working fan and therefore the rooms filled with steam, we used our suitcases to prop open the doors. The bathrooms were so dirty in some rooms, those showers / baths were avoided. We found the carpet and other upholstery in the rooms were stained and dirty. We had a number of young families staying who did not wish for their child to play on the carpets. We also found it frustrating when our door keys continued to stop working, even though we followed instructions to keep them away from phones and other cards, there were still issues. We found the staff to be unfriendly, but this may be due to the high number of complaints they receive, which obviously brings down the working culture of the hotel.
As a family we do not mind spending money on accommodation when you see the value, we did not see the value in staying at the mansion and found it to be incredibly expensive. We will not be staying again.
We've stayed at the hotel a couple of times with a Luxury Escapes deal in a heritage room. Booking, check in & check out was hasslefree, the reception area spacious and bright; and staff welcoming and informative. The bed was very comfortable, the room fresh and well presented. Housekeeping came past each day. A lovely selection of coffee and T2 teas. The bathroom was clean and had great Malin + Goetz amenities. The breakfast was a fantastic selection of hot & cold dishes, superb quality and choice in a beautiful dining space. The mansion itself is wonderfully grand and a delight to explore. Amazing grounds & gardens, of course. The first time we stayed they had cycles to borrow, so we made use of those early one morning, great fun! The next time however, they had no cycles, so slightly disappointing, though reception said they're looking into obtaining more. I hope they do. The first visit, the delicious dinner was an order off the menu ... the next visit they'd had a change of chef, so it was only a set menu, no separate choices. The cafe was sufficient for small snacks, though not outstanding, and a bit overpriced, but the staff were helpful and friendly on our visit. The pool area is lovely, the water a soothing temperature; the change rooms neatly presented and well maintained. The location is a short drive from Werribee centre shops and restaurants, and yet feels quite secluded, especially once all the day visitors depart. However the parking area & immediate outside hotel entrance could do with some attention to detail and tidying up
