My wife and I stayed here for two nights in the Vine romance . This suite is situated on the top floor adjacent to the cafe . The room is large with well appointed and comfortable lounge area and king bed situated in the loft with en-suite. The en-suite could be improved with the inclusion of a spa bath , there is enough room.
Full length windows provide the scenery of the olive trees and sea in the distance which is picture perfect . The balcony is the ideal setting for a quiet drink drink as the sun sets in the West .
The kitchen facilities could be improved. The bar fridge is noisy and continually runs without cutting in and out. The kitchen fit out is basic with no water glasses, no cheese board or cheese knife , no sharp knife at all . Minimal crockery , no soup spoons and empty salt and pepper shakers. This farm is under new management and the welcome folder needs to be updated to include their details. It could also be improved by including local takeaway , restaurants and wineries information.
The breakfast was very good in the cafe and staff were excellent and accommodating.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay , although the experience could be enhanced by some additional touches by the new owners.
Our stay at The Farm was wonderful. The owners, Michael and Robin, made us feel at home. The accommodations were first rate. They offer three rooms in a guest house that also has a full kitchen and living room. We were the only guests, so we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast at the Cafe was delicious.
We would like to come back to this area of the world to better explore Willunga and McLaren Vale.
Beautiful boutique accommodation - private and large room downstairs ideal for those with or without a disability. Faboulous king bed, comfy chairs fully equipped kitchen and stunning view of the vines. Great place to use as a base to explore the local area and vineyards.
Bathroom large and would accomodate a wheel chair, walk in shower every amenity with local soaps. Room has large windows and is surrounded by grapevines.
Very welcoming and friendly host Robyn showed us the room and made us comfortable. Close to wineries, town restaurants and highly reccomended. The Farm cafe serves a great breakfast and delicious lunch with a lovely glass of wine. Friendly cats around too.
Upon our arrival, we didn't expect much as we entered from the cafe (cute and quaint). We were then quickly greeted very warmly by Robyn. She took the time to show us around the farm and made sure we settled in swiftly. Robyn also provided us with some recommendations on wineries to visit which were valuable given our short stay.
The highlight would be the location! The view from the BnB rooms faced their olive farm which was a gorgeous view! It was also a quiet and secluded property making it very peaceful and serene - perfect for a romantic getaway!
The room itself was clean and spacious.
In the morning, Robyn made us a lovely breakfast and coffee. Michael and Robyn joined us for breakfast and we learnt much about their life passion, family and journey.
We would definitely return!
We winged it with our honeymoon accommodation. With just four days away from kids we needed a localish venue with not too many hours travel. The Farm exceeded our expectations. Robyn was so friendly and accommodated our requests for fresh coffee or breakfast in our room rather than cafe. The accommodation was immaculate and the sound system was a bonus. Luckily no one else was staying at the lower level accommodation so it was a perfect secluded spot to relax, read, and eat. Views from
Balcony were amazing and loved the afternoon sun on the deck. Only thing I could have wish for was a bathtub to soak in. Would highly recommend.
