Rooms are a good size , well appointed , TV and Satellite Connections that work . Free WiFi.
Nice Pool overlooking Exmouth Town Beach.
Near the Marina development with some quite large ritzy homes nearby.
Service was good . Food in restaurant whilst a limited menu was all excellent
We had a bungalow overlooking the sea. It was clean and spacious with a fantastic comfy bed, lovely bathroom and balcony. We could see all sorts of wildlife from our balcony, hump back whales, dolphins and even a massive Bungarra!
The reception staff were attentive and friendly but the bar/restaurant staff although super friendly, were severely under the pump as they seemed to be understaffed. It took over 50 minutes for us to get our breakfast on one morning so we didn't bother after that and drove into town for a take away or to sit at a nice little cafe. You really need a car though, its quite a walk into town, especially when its hot and you are carrying provisions.
Smoking on the balconies is a bad idea as the smoke just permeates across to your balcony and into your bungalow. Places like this should be non-smoking, it spoils the ambiance.
The noise policy needs to be addressed too. Maybe reminders to all guests at check in? Our neighbours were terribly inconsiderate - they had a spa on their balcony and were in it late at night and around 6am shouting. We did mention it to reception to ask them to keep the noise to a minimum but nothing changed.
The pool area is delightful but it was quite noisey with kids playing and shouting.
Not sure this resort is or should be a kid friendly venue to be honest, it spoils it for everyone else with the resort style feel they are trying to create. In our opinion it doesn't work, it has to be one or the other. The pool toilets had clearly not been cleaned since at least the day before with used paper towels all over the floor, bins overflowing and no toilet paper. Not great at the best of times but especially during Covid!
This place overall is definitely the best place to stay in Exmouth however they just need to sharpen up their attention to detail for it to be Excellent.
We were lucky enough to have a beachfront apartment with the outside deck overlooking the ocean. Perfect spot! Room was spacious, tidy and clean with biggest sliding doors leading on to the deck. I would definitely recommend this resort but few negatives:
- told on checkin no taxis or uber due to COVID and the resort shuttle bus ends at 3.30pm! Difficult to get around if you wish to go out to dinner and drink as the resort is 40 minute walk from town
- no drinks or ice delivered to room during dinner or lunch service
- few umbrella's around the pool and most guests were after shade as hot
- pool loungers uncomfortable
- housekeeping didn't take away used bottles or dirty glasses
- no mosquito spray given out if requested due to COVID even though other restaurants had it at entry
- no late checkout overall due to COVID
finish with the positives:
- food is delicious
- staff are lovely
- tranquil and serene
- terrific views of the ocean
- spacious rooms
- great bathroom with shower
- chilled glasses in the fridge
Nice hotel with beach views. Not the nicest beach in Exmouth as Exmouth has some truly fabulous beaches, none the less the hotel is on the beach and ok for a dip in the ocean. The resort has a pool, onsite restaurant/bar, gym, business nook where you can use a computer & printer, and a small gift shop.
Our room was very spacious, clean and modern and well equipped for a short stay with tv, table & chairs, a couch, mini fridge, in-room safe, clothes airer. The furniture in the room made it very functional. The air conditioner worked really well. The room had plenty of lighting options to choose from. Everything in the room worked. WIFI is fast and easy to connect to. The bed although large was quite hard and the pillows were not very nice.
Our patio also contained a table, two chairs and a sun lounger, so you could sit outside an enjoy the beach view.
The bathroom was large and clean and contained a separate area for the shower and toilet. Our room also contained a nice large spa bath.
Plenty of on-site parking. There are also communal washing machines & clothes dryers which are very convenient. The resort is nice and quiet because of the small number of rooms at the property.
Overall, I liked the hotel, it is on the pricey side, but the bedding was a little bit of a letdown and the pillows were all very random and not very comfortable.
Our check-in was conducted by Shelby and she was a delight to deal with. Very efficient, friendly and informative.
Stayed 2 night for girls weekend and resort did not disappoint. 2 bed villa with ocean view was sublime - could see the whales frolicking from our balcony. Pool area fantastic with cool pods to laze in. We will be back next season. Thanks to Michelle on Reception for all her advice on local activities!
