I stayed for one week in room 110 of this newly renovated motel, with new laminate flooring, freshly painted walls, and remodeled bathroom. As I was leaving, they were preparing to replace all the mattresses with name-brand pillow tops and all the furniture as well. When traveling, all I am really looking for is a clean bed and bathroom. My room was very clean and comfortable, and came with a microwave, fridge, cable TV, and WiFi. The owner/operator was very personable and always available. I missed having a coffee maker in the room, and I had minor issues with the key-card, but no big deal! Because the accommodations were just fine for me and the price unbeatable, this motel was the best deal in town! I would easily stay there again!
I normally like Motel 6 because they are affordable, consistent, clean, and convenient. NOT this one! I booked on the mobile app for a room with one bed. When I arrived, they told me they did not have my room type and upcharged me to stay in what they said was a room with two beds. When I went to the room, it had only one bed. It was also extremely hot in the room but the air conditioning didn't work. The room was also stinky and I noticed the smoke detector on the ceiling was covered in plastic. Weird. I went to the front desk and asked for a room change which they denied. I then called Motel 6 and was connected to group reservations (I was not travelling with a group). I finally got customer service but - after asking for help - was put on hold and then disconnected. Nobody called me back. I asked if I could cancel and go to another Motel 6 up the road. The hotel told me that after 15-minutes, no changes or cancellations were allowed. To make matters worse, the room was dirty. The property is in disrepair. It was a long and miserable experience.
Generally when I'm in Deming I have been driving a long time (as in all day). After a hectic day I stopped here and got a room. At first I thought that the heat was just going to be slow to come on, but nope! At that point I was too tired to hassle with changing rooms
I ended up with a handicapped room since I wanted a downstairs room. I was really hoping for one up front to keep an eye on my truck but instead ended up with one way in the back. There was probably no worries about my truck in this area in winter anyways.
The shower was a bit weird (but okay) and the heating system was unusual (but okay as well). This room didn't have a window unit but a central air type which actually works much better than window units.
No complaints or problems during my stay.
Great location, great front desk staff . Katie was very helpful to guide me for dinner place ,happen to be a mexican restaurant. Room was clean and well kept. Price was reasonable compared to to other location.
