Hotel is starting to show its age especially in the old wing where we stayed. The large bathtub was stained & not inviting so the shower was only used. Checked out the 'new' wing & everything was ok but you would expect that. We booked a pool balcony room for p4400 per night but was given a 20% discount for cash up front. The pool was spotlessly clean & the surrounding grounds were very well kept. The hotel amenities with pool & gym & a good restaurant, are great to pass the day before a long night on the town.

Stayed there for 3 nights on business in the Lagoon "Suites" (about $100/night). Check-in and check-out process tediously long, especially the check out (front desk staff took about 15-20 minutes to add up various room service charges with Slow Lori-like movements).

Room quality was equivalent to a $50 room in Phuket (much reminiscent of the CN Hotel Patong, - shoddy workmanship especially for a newer wing, loud a/c, dark dungeon-like moldy bathroom with water pressure comparable to the blood pressure of a crocodile, an ant colony that kept me company thorught my 3 days and basic lack of functioning amenities.

Food - mediocre at best. Expect a wait of about an hour for your order to arrive at the room (30 minutes slightly faster if sitting in the restaurant, steaks are low quality and done-ness instructions ignored. Salads are ok, as are the pastas.

Staff attitude - overall nice and helpful with no unecessary tip-sucking actions/services

The pool was probably the only real outstanding feature of this hotel, clean and quite large with a good design. The blue night time lighting of the compound is also very serene.

Overall, an ok hotel for the usual sex tourist type that frequents this town and has some more money to spend on accomodations that will seperate him from the rest of the budget punters but not a good hotel for family or "respectable" business persons.

In my opinion they should really do a better job of transparency - it is obvious they only want sex tourists to stay there so they should not try to disguise themselves as a "resort"

Room Tip: Garden rooms are filthy and old, avoid. I asked to be moved after an hour.

Stayed here for 3 nights from March 20 - March 23. Due to the fact that it is a little more tucked away and off the main strip than other hotels....it is much quieter than other hotels yet still in walking distance to many great clubs and restaurants. I booked a Lagoon Pool side room which was on the ground floor with its own balcony facing the pool. I never heard any noise from the pool or bar area once the balcony doors were closed. The restaurant has some good cuisine and the bar is 24 hours so you can get a drink or some food whenever you like. The Hotel is very clean and the pool there is my favorite pool in Angeles City.

The staff there were fantastic no matter what time of day. They always had a smile on their face and always had time to chat with you. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and watching the NRL live from Australia. Even better when Melbourne Storm beat Canterbury Bulldogs. The drinks tasted even better.

The prices here are reasonable....and if you are looking for somewhere clean, fun and centrally located....then definitely consider this hotel. I highly recommend this Resort to anyone visiting Angeles City.

Nice and convenient hotel close to fields ave strip, if you go there reserve room on the ground floor by the pool, you can get out of your room and right into the water and a 5 meter swim to the pool bar.

I stayed at the wild orchid hotel for the first time about one year ago. The hotel at that time seemed decent, but signs of wear and tear were beginning to show. I thought I would give it another shot this visit. To my suprise, it seemed like very little has been done to maintain the property. It wasn't all that bad, but I felt the overall feeling of the hotel was tired and slightly dirty. The pool was still nice. I enjoyed it, but it still has a lack of much needed landscaping. I was a bit sad that the waitresses didn't chat as much as before. I did hear that some of the old managers moved on so that may have been the reason. Overall, the room was decent for angeles city. I did think the rooms were a bit small and that the interior decor needed a upgrade. All in all, I felt the prices were a tad bit high for a older hotel. Definitely better options out there for $100/night.
