I was really upset that I was not informed before arriving that the pool was out of order. I would not have choose this location. When planning my little getaway I had planned to chill in the indoor pool and i packed for such. So it might not seem much to you but I was really really disappointed
Excellent views, nice relaxing atmoshore and if you like music, nice to sit and relax and interact with others. Food is casuall has a pool small casino. Rooms are nice, small but the view of the Cheseapeake is nice
We were highly disappointed in this resort. We paid a premium price for one of the most expensive rooms. The bathroom was broken (toilet flush was hit or miss and the toilet seat was not attached i.e. shifted with each use), hot water was scarce, tiles were falling off the wall, the shower had mildew, there were a couple of bugs in the room and miscellaneous trash under furniture. I called the front desk multiple times to report these issues but got no answer, oftentimes no one was a the front desk at all, even upon check-in. The one time I was able to get through, I reported the biggest issue for us which was that the pullout bed was dirty - which they sent someone up to remake (my kids were going to be sleeping on it). The customer service in the hotel, besides the wonderful room cleaning staff, was rough. Overall anyone you asked a question seemed bothered. The only staff that seemed at least to be trying were the outdoor and indoor restaurant waiters/hostesses. The indoor pool was clearly not taken care of (trash around, towels never replenished). There is really no water access (for swimming) and no activities for children besides the indoor pool. The spa was not great. Had the worst facial I've ever had. And don't even get me started on the valet. You had to wait at least 20 minutes for your car if not more. Overall for the price we were incredibly disappointed.
Took a slight get away for the wife and I, and what a little gem we found. Anytime I travel I look to get the most space I can, so opted for the King suite (check online, they have early bird deals). Stayed in room 219 on the corner of the building. Loved the size, flat screen tv's, sofa w/ pullout, jacuzzi, fireplace, comfy bed, plenty of seating, big bathroom, refrigerator, and a full size balcony. Loved the view from the room and the decor was decent. We found a great place to taste and buy wine at Bay Wine and Spirits (Sharon is awesome). We ate at Rod & Reel which was decent but could have better service when you are spending 100+ on a meal. We also went to "Katch 22" which had some of thee best wings I have had in my life. Complimentary valet was also a great touch and someone was always there when I needed my vehicle. The onsite spa is also great. Did not get to get in the indoor pool, but looked clean and was warm. There was nothing overly disruptive about our trip, had a great time and definitely will return.
First time to the hotel. We came with two adults and four kids ages 11-7. Overall very nice place. Some good and some bad. The good. They have events going on every hour for kids from painting, cookie decorating, contests ect. some you have to pay for and some are free. The arcade is dated and kids will bored after about 15 minutes. The Mini golf course outside is weak at best. The indoor pool is nice and they had a movie at 6pm and 8 pm which was cool for the kids to swim and watch a holiday movie. We had lunch and the water edge and the service was so so and the food what decent.
The thanksgiving feast was very pricey. 62 each for the adults and 32 for the kids ( rip off) The setting was like being at any ordinary hall with numbers on each table . the food was very good but the atmosphere sucked. We felt like being on a crappy cruise ship. We never made it to the fire pit for smores .
I would come back in the summer and take advantage of the outdoor pool .
