Lovely building, charming and quaint, nice peoples, a little cold in the room but used the electric fan heater and it was soon cosy, breakfast was good, very cold in the dining room, perhaps the owner would give some consideration to this, not very nice eating your breakfast and perished at the same time, appreciate how hard it is to keep a lovely house like this warm in the winter, however it does need to be addressed, besides that I will be more than happy to visit here again, bit difficult to find the turning off the main road so take great care.
I stayed for one night as I had an appointment the following day in nearby Newport Pagnell.
The gentleman who greeted me upon arrival was pleasant enough and asked me what time I’d like breakfast.
The room and the facilities were clean and bed reasonably comfortable. There was a partially used bottle of water which I decided to leave!
I was greeted for breakfast and told it was cooking. When it arrived I was disappointed to say the least - 2 rashers of bacon and a pile of mushrooms! I had expected an English. So I made myself a couple of slices of toast and had a lukewarm bacon sandwich!
Shame - nice spot and conveniently situated.
Was given a very warm welcome by Mrs Adams. A quaint
B&B with period charm. Lovely bright bedroom overlooking fields. Well furnished in traditional style and spotlessly clean. Good Wi Fi signal
Wide variety on offer for breakfast, good quality and tasty.
Would like to have stayed longer. Can highly recommend you won’t be disappointed.
Thank you for your hospitality .
I emailed the B&B and asked if they had vacancies for myself and my dog for a total of 10 nights over 4 separate bookings (mostly Fri/Sat night bookings) and if so could they let me know the price per night. They responded saying they DID have bookings for all the dates but they were not happy with a dog being in the room for extended periods of time if I was working and therefore basically said they were sorry they could not be more helpful and didn't give me any prices. (so basically thanks very much but end of conversation!) Had they asked further they would have known that I "work from home" and therefore my dog would NEVER be left unattended at any time. I did email them afterwards to advise them of this......SO they clearly make too much money to turn away 10 nights worth of bookings and really need to go on a customer awareness course. If that is what it is like just on a general enquiry then I would never want to stay there! Don't state pet friendly if you aren't! Thanks ….signed....I'm a dog owner not a leper!
I was at a point in my evening where I was just about to give up on everything and this kind lady; Kaye came to my rescue. Despite her busy schedule and B&B being full to the brim, she made room for a little one. I cannot thank her enough for her hospitality and kindness. Service is everything and Kaye went beyond helpful. I hadn't eaten and despite the time of day she made sure I could eat and gave me a warm bed for the night. As you can appreciate in business you need to be/look your best in the morning and Kaye made me a fantastic fry up with her own home grown eggs with smokey bacon... BLISS!
I will be coming back and recommending her B&B to my collegues and I will probably visit with my children, all in all the best experience at the best price!!!
