Pros: # of outlets and USB ports, decor, extensive gym, variety of food at breakfast, friendly staff
Cons: A/C vent, small pool with no atmosphere
We are IHG Rewards members so stay frequently at various Holiday Inns. The one is the best we have visited. First and foremost the beds are comfortable with no sign of bed bugs (I check now as an avid watcher of Hotel Impossible!). Also exceptional are the number of outlets: 2 AC and 1 USB on EACH side of the bed. 2 more outets and 2 USB ports next to the desk. Cool, ultra modern touch lamp on desk, adequate lighting for each side of king bed. Modern sun filtering and opaque roller shades were perfect.
The gym was excellent more than double what you normally see for this caliber hotel. High end Precor: 3 treadmills, 2 elipticals, recumbant bike, rowing machine, 2 benches with free weights, 2 floor mats, towels and cold/hot water. The pool is adjacent with a nice sitting area but only view is of cars. It needs greenery, potted trees bushes to improve the view.
On the negative side the desk is located right next to the A/C which requires you to turn it off at the thermostat because it blasts you sitting at the desk. There is no vent direction adjustment available on the unit itself. Also a bizarre little shelf in the shower that is only good for you to put your foot up to shave or put shampoo on. It needed to be double the dept so you can SIT there.
