Accommodations beautiful updated and as always most beautiful beach!! Room was great! Stayed At neighboring property and Gulf Beach is so much nicer!!!! Thank you!!! Plan on staying every year and will recommend it to both family and friends!!!
My husband and I went down September 16-24 (post hurricane Irma), with my family. We stayed in room 301, which is an ocean front room. The room was updated, but still had that Florida charm. The bathroom was recently renovated as well and had a tiled walk in shower. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of cooking tools. The only thing we seemed to be missing out of our three units we had in the condo was a good wine bottle opener!
The pool is wonderful, and towards the end of our stay, even with most units filled, it was never really busy.
The section of the beach in front of the Gulf Beach Resort is quiet, but that could have been due to hurricane Irma just having passed by and the resort next door was closed for renovations. Still I think with moderate occupancy of both resorts, you'd still have a quieter beach than most other locations on this same beach.
My only minor complaint was that on the first day we arrived we had no power. This was not the fault of the management as they were at the mercy of when the hydro crews could fix the issue. We were not supplied with any flash lights to navigate the stairs in the dark. Again, I think this should be taken with a grain of salt, since this was a very unique situation.
My family traveled here when I was 10 months old, and I can say that 28 years later it's still wonderful. If you're looking for a quiet place on the beach, you need to consider the Gulf Beach Resort.
I think I would consider getting a Gulf View Room on the 04 side, that way you have two balconies and can still get an amazing sunset view each night.
We stay quite often on St. Pete beach. Our normal place was booked so we thought we would give the Gulf Beach Resort a try. Wonderful decision. Beautifully decorated condos with super comfortable beds. We were in room 403 which isn't oceanfront, it's ocean view, but It didn't matter. We had a small balcony with a great view of the Gulf. A larger balcony was on the street side with a view of the bay. We have found our new "normal" place to go. With only 19 rooms it's not crowded like a hotel. An elevator makes it easy to go from the pool area to your room. We will be back soon for another getaway. A big plus is you get an assigned parking spot. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Book it Danno!!
Spent a very relaxing week at this Resort. Everything was perfect! We enjoyed having a nice wide balcony accessible from both the living room and the bedroom. The kitchen was great! There was nothing we needed for cooking that was not supplied. There is a Publix within walking distance, but if you bring a car I would suggest driving to the Walmart Neighborhood Mart just a few blocks away if you want to save some money on food and supplies. : ) The pool area was very clean and well maintained. My only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough, but we will definitely be back!
My room was 301, looking directly over the oceanfront. The entire front was glass, it was awesome waking up to a full view of the ocean! Highly recommend staying here, The room had everything I needed (beach chairs, sand toys, boogie board, cooler, full kitchen, even a flashlight for walking the beach at nite!) Parking was super close, love the layout of the building, from my parking spot to the apartment door was only about 30 foot total! Very secure building, I felt very safe there by myself with 2 younger girls! Apartment itself was extremely nice, 2 bathrooms, super awesome bed with great bedding, very nicely decorated. And for the price, I cannot recommend this place enough!
