I was given a room that was already occupied. I walked in and saw a kids toy on the floor so I stopped, with the door partially open. Then I realized the bathroom door was open and someone was in the shower. I closed the door and went back to the front desk and ask the person there to come with me to the room I had just been given. The person then asked what was wrong and I said it was occupied. I was given an unoccupied room eventually but there were no glasses or dish ware available. It was ok to sleep in but that’s about it.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for the review. Although we met your needs, we apologize for the challenges you experienced with regard to the room allocated initially and regret the inconvenience caused. Kitchenware for your suite is available and kept at the front desk to ensure cleanliness, and our team gladly delivers these items to your suite. Your feedback is appreciated, and we will be sure our front desk communicates this more clearly going forward. Thank you again for being our guest, and we hope you will visit us again when in our area. Sincerely, Hotel Management

I have stayed at Extended Stay America hotels before and this specific hotel was well below their standards.
Let me start by saying the staff were all friendly and helpful. The pamphlet I was given upon checkin explained everything.
Upon checkin, I was told the room I reserved (Double beds) was not available. Apparently my room had been given to another patron. Instead I was offered a Queen room, though handicap equipped. Since I had no choice (that was the only room available) I took it.
When I entered the room, the first thing I noticed was a musty smell, the second was that my shoes were sticking to the (linoleum) floor. Unfortunately housekeeping had already left (it was 9pm). Fortunately, I travel with Clorox wipes so I was able to clean the floors.
The carpets were also dirty and there was refuse in various places. I found bottle caps on the floor behind the recliner and under the bed.
I got settled the best I could (no hangers in the closet). However, when I went to take a shower, the shower head and hose were mouldy. Out came more Chlorox wipes.
After my shower, I went to get ice (no ice machine) and found there were no ice trays. The front desk immediately supplied them (though I still didn't have ice since it had to freeze).
The breakfast was fine, exactly as advertised...oatmeal, coffee, tea, muffins and breakfast bars.
The room was quiet and cool, the A/C worked fine (though every time I came in the room I noticed a musty smell).
The area is fine...across the street from Broward mall on one side, the Fountains shopping in the other and plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near by.
Would I use Extended Stay again?
Maybe, depends on my plans.
This location?
Probably not.

Stayed three nights while visiting friends. If this property represents the brand, we will not be a future customer.

The only difference between this place and other hotels is the full size refrigerator, a 2 burner stove that I don't know what you do with, unless you travel with pots and pans for cooking, no in room coffee maker or an ice machine in the building.

No fresh towels for the entire stay. Breakfast was pathetic. On Sunday there was brewed coffee, granola bars, packed mini muffins, and instant oatmeal. On Monday forward there was hot water and instant Sanka. Are you kidding me!

The place is not maintained. Toilet seat had one screw and almost fell off everytime it was used.

For a few dollars more stay at a real hotel.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We are sorry for the issues you experienced while here. Kindly note, our brand standards require us to keep the kitchenware and toiletries available at the front desk to ensure the cleanliness, rather than leaving them in the suites. We will remind our front desk to communicate this more clearly going forward. As we have full-size refrigerators in all our rooms, which includes ice trays for your convenience, we do not have an ice machine on our property. We also regret that our breakfast offerings were not appealing to you and have shared this with our Brand Leaders to assist them when determining new offerings. Thank you again, and we hope you will consider and give us a chance to serve you better in the future. Sincerely, Hotel Management

Good for a one night stay. (for us) en-route to Cape Canaveral.

Average in most respects but represented reasonable value for money considering it was the lead up to Easter.

Beds were comfortable and everything needed was provided but there was a general feeling of ‘grubbiness’ about the place especially the carpeting and hard flooring in the common parts and our room!

Breakfast is basic but was as expected and as advertised.

Would stay again at the right price as it’s a convenient and safe location.

We are staying right now in this hotel, we arrived yesterday night, and the guy at the reception the first thing he did was to tell us this is a non smoking hotel, something we appreciate.
Then he informed us that there is not daily cleaning service, if you want they provide it for $10, but because we are staying 5 nights, they will clean once in the middle of our stay. First time for us staying in a hotel that doesn't provide daily cleaning service!!
After that he said that if you need a change of towels we need to take the dirty ones to the front and they will exchange them. If you need pots and pans or any thing for the small kitchen, you have to ask in the front desk....All very strange...
Then after charging the full amount in advance for he total of our stay he assigned our room.
As soon as we walk in the room the smell of cigar was terrible. We went back to the reception to request to charge the room, this guy was having dinner outside in the parking lot. Finally we change rooms, this one doesn't smell and we went to sleep, at least the bed is not to bad.
Today we came back after a busy day and we walk in to the reception and there is a young girl, she didn't even say hello, and I ask if we can get and extra pillow, she said NO, turn around complaining of a headache.
Not very pleased with customer service!! Not sure if it is this location in particular or the whole chain is the same, but it's our first and last time in Extended Stay America!!!

Thank you for choosing us and for providing your feedback. We apologize our hotel and amenities were not to your expectations. Our hotel is designed for guests staying a week or more at a time, who prefer a home-like living experience. So we certainly understand why you may have found our amenities a bit different than traditional hotels. Your comments regarding the problems you encountered in your room will be shared with the appropriate team, and we will take the appropriate steps to prevent these issues from happening again. Once more, we do apologize and hope you will enjoy the rest of your stay. Sincerely, Hotel Management

The area is a quiet area, its more located in a suburban area, alot of stores are nearby so that means that security is also nearby. With the hotel there are alot of staff on so if anything happens they can easily alert the authorities, also only guest have access into the hotel. There is a fire station that's a block away I believe. I don't see it as a dangerous area but its always advisable to be aware of your surroundings no matter where you go.
