Got there and checked in with no problems. went to check the room and found it was almost clean. After walking around found several hair ties and two navel rings in the room. The corner where the curtains closed had not been cleaned or even wiped for some time. The bathroom seemed a little clean but did find several strands of someone else's hair in various places in the bathroom. The kitchenette was old and not real clean, I wouldn't cook there. The stove was full of rust and the oven door was broken, I had to kick it to get it to close again, but like I said I wasn't and would not cook there. The view of the bay was nice, the room needed a screen door on the patio door though so you could enjoy the breeze. The water pressure in the shower was exceptional and that was nice. The view was still nice with the sliding glass door closed though. The day of our check out someone knocked on the door and my wife yelled "wait a minute" this person then opened our door and stuck his head in the room and said "what time are you checking out?" Mind you it was 9:30 in the morning and check out time was at 11:00. Coffee was available in the office, provided they made it, apparently no one knows how to check the gauge to see if it is empty. I only stayed two nights and they were out of coffee twice, I noticed all the staff had a cup though.
This was our first but definitely not our last stay here!!! Jay who checked us in was fantastic, very friendly. Later I had a question, and instead of just describing me where something was he showed me. The bed was perfect!! Usually I will have back pain, but not here!!! The view was so relaxing, the room was perfect!
This was the first time staying at the Bay Resort. It was a great experience. We had a king size pool facing room. The bed was comfortable and it was great to have a mini fridge and a cook top and microwave. The main office has complimentary coffee in the morning. The shower had good pressure. We went out onto the end of the pier to sip our morning coffee and it was very relaxing. My husband also tried to catch some fish at the end of the pier but didn't have luck. We watched a paddleboard yoga class one morning and that was interesting to see. The hotel is centrally located so that you could walk to any restaurant or bar along Rt 1 very easily. We've also staying in Dewey before and it's easy to walk to Rehoboth if you want to. We'd stay here again and try to get a bay view room next time.
Found this room online and thought it was a steal for $120 right on the bay. Front desk staff were so nice and helpful. Laundry is on 3rd floor and there is no elevator so we went to a laundromat since my mom could not do the stairs. The view from the bayside room 111 is phenomenal but the room itself and the property needs work. The pool wasn’t open despite being 93°. The room had cob webs in corners and some bugs flying around. I killed 4-5 total. You could tell the room needed a deeper cleaning as the counters and bedside table wasn’t wiped down. There’s no screen on the patio door. Came back after dark and because there is a light right by the door the bugs were swarming. I think they should have the lights placed away from the door and maybe a bug zapper? Beds were comfortable and it works for someone not staying in the room a lot. WONDERFUL location and plenty to do just not worth $120. Maybe $80-$90 or lower without the bay view.
Very clean rooms, nice helpful staff. Location was perfect. Little outdated but still cute and roomy. Large refrigerator in the room was a plus. Small stove as well ,handy if you have children. Nice little beach area outback with chairs.
