I was looking for a place to stay in Limon. When doing so, I generally read the low-rating reviews to see what other people are saying is WRONG with the place. When I came across Rebecca M's review, I decided to book it!! She intended to castigate the hotel and the whole area as being dangerous, but I took it as a common-sense approach to a virus, rather than irrationally bowing to the CDC god. These are my kind of people. Now, I will rate the hotel. Check-in was no-hassle. The person may have been smiling, but I couldn't tell due to his face covering (likely a result of brainless complaints like Rebecca's). The hotel is relatively new and clean-looking. There is an elevator to the 2nd & 3rd floors so you can use the provided luggage carts beyond the first floor. For those who choose to use the stairways, they are wide enough for 2 or 3 people side by side. The rooms are not very spacious, but there is adequate room to get around. There is a modular arrangement of shelves/cabinets that allows for microwave, mini-fridge (no freezer compartment), microwave, coffee-maker (Keurig), writing desk, closet (for clothes and includes small ironing board and iron), and Heat/AC unit. This setup also has several cubbyhole-type shelves that partially makes up for the lack of counter space in the bathroom. The queen-size bed with three pillows was comfortable. I really appreciated the full complimentary breakfast, which many other places are reducing or eliminating with the "pandemic" as an excuse. Thank you for providing a fairly normal place to stay while most other places have put their brain on a shelf.
After 10 hours on the road this was a warm and friendly place to stay. Provided hand sanitizer in room and even really had continental breakfast with cereal, make your own waffles. Low covid rates in the area and had mask available in the lobby.
Clean comfortable room. Cleaning staff was sweet and even thank us for staying with them.
I have liked Wyndham motels for a long time and this one was no exception the the general rule the Wyndham offers great places to stay. The room was very pleasant and clean, had plenty of towels and had a very friendly and helpful staff to make the stay great.
I'm late in writing this review, but I've been unloading a moving truck in 100 degree heat. I stopped here mid-July without a reservation, although I checked TripAdvisor first so I knew what I was getting into. There was a very pleasant young lady at the front desk who was really helpful in getting my tired self into a nice room. It was hot, the nearest decent restaurant several blocks away where no 26 foot Uhaul would fit, so I asked if any food at all in the building, and she showed me a pantry with frozen meals in it that can be cooked in your room. I bought it, went to my room, locked the door, called it a night. In chatting with her later, she revealed she had contracted Covid-19 and got very sick. This girl loves her job and it shows in how she treats your guests. She was awesome and knew her stuff. I greatly appreciate her and her advice.
Got into town late after driving through a hailstorm. The front desk agent was very kind and helpful. He gave me the number to Pizza Hut since I asked about getting a pizza. (They were really friendly at the Pizza Hut too but they're not listed on this website.) My room was on the third floor and very clean. What I really liked about this location was they had hand sanitizer kiosks. The shower worked great. The AC has an adjustable temperature and wasn't too loud. Fridge worked very well. I was afraid it wasn't cold enough, but the next morning my drinks were frozen! Definitely working! Most important, I slept great and didn't hear any noise from the freeway or truck stop.
