Business trip to Highlands Ranch. I have never heard of Home2 and found them on the internet. This particular hotel is 3 years old, so yes it's tight all the way around.
I was warmly greeted at the desk and the clerk prided in the fact that its was what he termed a "modular" hotel. I not sure what that meant, but I smiled and got my key. I went the to the third floor and was immediately assaulted by an odor of what I could only say was nasty feet. All the way down the hall. I was concerned but went to the room. Upon opening the, it was bright, spic and span, and the odor remained in the hall. The cable TV was not connected. That being the only issue, (it appeared that some one had pulled it to use the TV for a computer screen) The cable box on the back was also loose and hanging off. I unpacked and went downstairs to head out for dinner. I advised the desk clerk and he immediately notified house keeping and maintenance. I had forgot something in my room and headed back up. In that short time, the cleaning crew was on the floor and looking for the source of the smell and beginning to used sprays to rectify it. I left and returned about 1.5 hours later. The smell was gone and the TV was up and running with all mountings secured. I was in the room less than 10 minutes when the desk called and asked if everything had been taken care of,
That is the sign of a good, conscientious, pro-active staff. Nice Job!! Another plus was the laundry facility. Due to heavy snows I was stuck there for a day longer than planned. The machines were free to use!! That's never seen at any hotel.
Breakfast, is not on the same par as one might see at a Hampton,.. but it is good! Pre-packages sandwiches and other fair is made hot by only a few minutes in the MIcrowave. Directions on the sandwiches is bulletproof. It give you the number to push on the corresponding microwave and is ready! Waffles are made by you fresh. Cereals, granola, fresh fruits, bagels, pastries, coffee, yogurts, juices. Just the basics..., but, that is the concept. and it works! The have a good fitness facility as well.
The rooms are well designed with a unique rolling table that slides up under the ledge desks built into the room. The rolling table allows one to use it as a desk at the bed and as a table to dine when you want. You also have a separate living area. Divided off by a heavy curtain, which I think is smart.
The rooms, and I stayed in two different rooms on account of having to return due to the weather, were large. Both the one with two queens and the single king. The term suite is appropriate based on the design.
Aside from the hotel, dining in the area is simplified as well. There is a massive market area in the process of building and filling with stores and eating options. Rock Bottom Brewery is literally directly across the street. You can walk there in less than two minutes. Less than 5 minutes away (providing you hit all the green lights) is an completed complex with a Super Target and a plethora of other eating options.
I'm a Security Trainer contracted to UCHealth and HRH hospital is between the Rock Bottom Complex and the Super Target complex.
Easy access to the Highways makes this a no brainer. It's not over priced in my opinion.
Stay here. Appreciate it for what it is. Efficient. Clean. Comfortable. A nice perk..., the beds. Very nice and the sheets are stupid soft. Has a pool but did not use it. Don'tr know if its heated. I'll be back! You should try it!
