This was a last minute booking which was recommended by my mama who stayed here 2 months ago. The hotel is fairly new so room facilities were excellent, the shower had 'real' hot water with excellent water pressure - this is hard to find in many local hotels. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the pool was nice though it could do with some sun lounges. The bedding was super comfortable and I have requested the brand of pillows because they were 5/5 👌.

One morning we got locked in our room. The interior lock or deadbolt on the counterfeit electronic locking system malfunctioned. There was no instruction how to call the front desk in the room or near the phone, and dialing 0, 1, 9 yielded no replies. If we had not known another guest in the hotel who went to find some help, we could have been in there for much longer. Once advised, the head housekeeper came to attempt to open the door from outside to no avail. He left and sent other people with keys and master keys and to make a long story short, it took them some 30 minutes to finally open the door. These things happen, we understand that, but what followed in terms of service response was beyond inexplicable. When my wife asked to be moved to another room for the remainder of our stay, the head housekeeper and apparently duty manager for that point in time responded over the walkie-talkie "they are checking out, why bother to move room..." to which we replied we were not checking out for another day, and besides, we still had another 6 hours of this day! What is more disturbing is that there were no emergency procedures in place, they had no idea how to open the doors and they could not explain why they didn't answer the calls to the front desk at 9 am in broad daylight. Later on, the. front desk refused to name the General Manager nor give their contact numbers until I offered to go straight to the police and.fire department to file a complaint for unsafe practices and a lack of adequate management response. Bottom line, incidents happen, but the service recovery in this hotel was non-existent, the explanations untruthful in fact outright lies, and the staff hid rather answer the questions posed. One has to wonder how they would have handled a real emergency like a guest who had a stroke in room or a fire in the building if they couldn't open a simple lock nor answer their phones. From a security perspective, the rooftop door was left wide open (stuck) 24 hours a day, meaning there was no security at an entrance. In the lobby, several of the large glass panels had been blown out in a storm and were just covered with temporary tarps...

Besides this experience, the rooms were relatively clean given it is newly renovated, the food in the restaurant was adequate, the internet horrific. However, the reviews here are way to too positive for the actual experience; I have spent over 5,000 room nights in hotels around the world in the past 55 years, and this hotel would rate a 2-3 at best, assuming they had mostly different staff from the ones we encountered.

If you're looking for an accommodation thats near the city and easily accessible to public transpo, its the hotel for you. The bed, especially the pillows are so comfy. Me and my family had a great time. Everything in the room was working. However, some amenities were upon request. Breakfast buffet was nice. I loved it that they serve warm taho (silken tofu with syrup and tapioca). You can also choose different varieties of syrup and sinkers like nata de coco and gulaman. They serve my favorite kakanins too! They also serve dinner buffet on selected days. We tried the seafood buffet and it was fantastic! Perfect for seafood and cajun spice lovers out there. This hotel have a big Jacuzzi type pool and one kiddie pool. Lastly, one thing that I will come back for is their service. 5 star rating to the staffs; always willing to assist and make your stay comfortable as possible. Will definitely recommend to friends.
