We stayed end March early April. Unfortunately swimming pool closed. Staff very nice. Lovley breakfasts. Very good buffet with wine beer included in price. Nice seating area outside the door. Room nice but is high rise. Very central in Guiyang so its close to shops with a underpass to Walmart across the road. Was able to buy a replacement case here. Nice reception area with coffee area and cakes sandwiches etc served all day.
The hotel looks aged, but it is still working very well especially the services. The front desk staff and club lounge manager were very welcoming and professional. The happy hour in the club is very decent with lots of choice which was quite unexpected. There is also a mini-golf at the roof-top. The barber shop at the swimming pool level was really nice. I thought the barber was from Hong Kong, really nice.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 night for business meeting in the hotel. Was upgrade to club level room. The hotel facilities is top notch with well equiped gym, health center and nice pool. The food was good, The buffet breakfast has mixture of Chinese food and western food
I have stayed in the Sheraton several times. It is definately the best hotel in Guiyang. Everyone speaks some English and the front desk staff and phone operator were fluent. The rooms are very nice and the internet service is reliable, which is not an easy thing to find in this part of China. I esp. love the 25 meter indoor pool and exercise room which has all new equipment that works well. You can get a great massage in the spa for 140 rmb but unless your Chinese is good ask for the book that describes all the various offereings to make sure you get what you want. The food is excellent and the breakfast buffet has a wide range of pastries, breads, western and oriental breakfast items and made to order omelets. The executive floor deal includes a one-way trip from/to the airport, internet, breakfast, and happy hour, so it is a good deal if you plan to use those things.
