The hotel is very comfortable with spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. I also enjoyed the pool and morning breakfasts. Extra bonus - the friendly shuttle bus drivers that are ready to take and pick up passengers.
Condition of hotel and quality of staff is excellent. Small/medium outdoor pool is great for kids.
2 years in a row we have stayed here in October to support a family member doing the Ironman AZ 70.3 race. Lots of athletes and supporters stay here for the weekend. The hotel is right on one of the corners of the bike route. It's just close enough to center of event to be walkable and just far away enough that you don't have traffic/congestion concerns.
Food at the hotel is very good considering it's a hotel, not a restaurant.
Shuttle service to/from airport and about town is great.
Very nice hotel. Breakfast was very good and had items not on standard bars. Staff was very good and had a shuttle that could take you to places other than airport. Fitness facility was adequate. Mostly cardio machines. Rooms very quiet and spacious. Outdoor pool looked nice although I did not use it.
In a nutshell this is a great location convenient to anywhere in the Phoenix area for shopping, dining and sightseeing and the perfect location to begin or end a trip from the Phoenix airport. The breakfast is always quality with a good variety of food and beverage, in a pinch or in desiring not to travel to a local restaurant for lunch or dinner, the Hyatt has a wonderful menu of quality food to please any pallet. The staff is tremendously caring and makes you feel like staying here will be money well-spent as you enter the front door. Nice gym and pool, good area around the hotel to stretch the legs, great room and bed to relax and recover from any journey. Very convenient to the airport.
Checked in for one night after a late flight to Phoenix using my points. Room was okay and left early the next day. On my return about 7 days later I booked another night here before flying out and could spend a bit more time here. Before I share my review I want to give kudos to the staff, they really are great there. Although this hotel has been "updated" at some point it really isn't worth the rates they command at all. I wanted some fresh air and went to open the window on the 2nd floor. Much to my surprise there was no lock or any way to fasten the window from intruders. There was a piece laying loosely behind the window that should have been fastened to prevent the window from sliding. The window itself didn't even latch firmly to keep it locked. Then below the window next to the AC unit was painted wood or drywall that was really dirty and tacky. We also tried using the tiny pool but with the constant air traffic directly overhead, it was tough to be there long. Also before we could use it, I personally had to get the pool net to clean the leaves and debris myself before we could use it. Unfortunate experience as we generally like the Hyatt properties. To make it all worse they didn't credit me points for my first night stay, and after two request for missing points I received an email (are you ready for this?) saying; "we received your request and have taken care of it". I'm thinking okay great, so I login to my account and nothing has changed. I send emails again but you can't reply and create a dialogue with someone now. Finally I found some other email addresses and now they want to know what dates and which hotel it was I was staying at. I have filled out a missing points request form twice already...
What's happening Hyatt? It used to be so good, professional, and customer oriented.
