It’s hard to believe this serene property is located just off a very busy street in central Jaipur. It’s a restful retreat with strolling peacocks, lots of greenery, parrots and a swimming pool. The room was basic but completely adequate, a little cold at night but extra blankets were available and that solved the issue. The only meals I took were breakfast which were nicely prepared and served quickly.
A beautiful, friendly heritage property of calm only a short distance from the chaos of the old city. Every time you will find peacock playing here and there near your room. There is a sprawling garden where one can see all kinds of birds and yes, peacocks. It's such a serene environment, just sit outside and enjoy the blissful surroundings.
Although the staff were very nice and accommodating and therefore I hate to write anything negative. Suffice to say it was just adequate. The room was a little dusty but pleasant. The breakfast was pretty average. The best thing about it was the helpfulness of the owner and the peacefulness of the location,
We have stayed here several times in the past, This is a small, comfortable haven in true Indian style run under the close eye of the resident owner. As soon as we turn into Kalyan Path (the short cul-de-sac leading to the hotel), the noise and bustle of the city just seems to evaporate, and as you enter the garden you could be miles away from Jaipur!
There are only a few rooms, which are all clean and comfortable. There is a nice lawn where breakfast can be served if you wish, and you will almost always find peacocks wandering around as you eat. Other meals are available if you give enough notice, and tea, coffee and soft drinks will be cheerfully delivered to your room, or the garden - or even the restaurant if you wish! There is a nice, clean swimming pool in the garden with a few sun-loungers available.
If you really have to stay in touch with home, there is free wifi covering most of the premises (and the garden), and satellite TV in the bedrooms.
We love it here, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and chats with the owner.
I love Santha Bhag I stayed recently after visiting several years ago. It is a large traditional villa with about 12 guest rooms which still keeps the old world charm but with a comfortable modern twist - newly renovated rooms are clean, spacious and airy with modern bathrooms, wifi and friendly room service. All at very good value. The garden is a gem with many wild birds that you can watch from the balcony. The swimming pool is very inviting. The food is home cooked and tasty but you need to order at least 2 hrs ahead as they will get in the ingredients only on the day of your order which makes sure it is absolutely fresh. The dining room is not that cosy so it is better to have your meal in the garden, on the terrace or in your room. The owners are friendly and helpful. I felt very well looked after. If I come to Jaipur again I will definitely stay here again.
