After a long walk to Lovran, we were immediately offered cold drinks on arrival at reception. This family-owned hotel is friendly and welcoming, with large well appointed rooms, all immaculately clean, and an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.
Nothing was too much trouble; we were also offered a kettle to make tea and coffee. The breakfasts and dinners were of high standard.
Thank you - we were sorry to leave and hope to be back again at some point
This was our second time in this hotel and we travelled with our 5yo daughter. Hotel is still great! Rooms are comfortable and cleaning l can not explain how it is great like at home. Breakfast is as usual very very delicious. Swimming pool is one of the best places in the hotel, clean, no crowed, water dicently hot. Since this is family business we meet owner on daily basis and l can say only - THANK YOU!
This is a spotlessly clean and very comfortable, well-run hotel with a friendly welcome and atmosphere. It is conveniently located in a quiet location with pleasant views and 5 minutes or so walk from the centre of Lovran. There is on-site guest parking. Breakfasts are generous and very good and there is a restaurant and bar. The rates are reasonable. Highly recommended if planning a holiday on this magnificent stretch of coast with its Austro-Hungarian architecture. Facilities include an indoor pool as well as (no swimming costumes) sauna, steam room and infra-red sauna, all spotless.
There are so many little things that make this place a GREAT place to stay rather than a nice place to stay.
The welcome drinks on the terrace, cookies in the room, slippers and robes, maps, brochures and recommendations, all these touches are so well thought out and thoughtful. Dunja is a gracious and lovely hostess and the darling lady who served our breakfast and shared with us pictures of her cats, made us feel so welcome. Villa Vera was much more than a place to sleep. Our room was large with a very modern bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The pool and spa area are nice year round because they are in a glassed-in area. The Villa is on a quiet street with parking and only a short walk through a small park to the beach and only a bit of a stroll to town. Short driving distances to Rijeka and Opatija make this a great base for exploring. If you have the chance, we recommend a visit to the island of Krk. We loved the harbor town of Krk.
Lovran is a wonderful historic town and after researching many places to stay for a few days, we are so glad we found Villa Vera and would highly recommend it to anyone! Just wonderful!
We only stayed 1 night during our tour of Croatia but enjoyed it. Hotel looks very nice and is well located near the sea. Room with balcony very comfortable.
Parking in front of the hotel. The pool looks very nice but we didn’t use it.
We had dinner in the restaurant because a nice restaurant in Lovran was difficult to find and a bit far for walking. Parking difficult in the village, even in October.
Food choice was limited but o.k. Red and white wine extremely bad.
Breakfast good but coffee as bad as the wine.
