First I would like to say that my stay at this place has been the worst experience of my life. We stayed one night coming from out of Miami. The customer service at the front desk some disrespectful woman called Lexi accused me of “bringing the party back with me” . I was disrespected, discriminated against, and threatens to be charged a “smokers fee” for the room having a mariguana scent. They accusing me saying they had evidence that was left in the room when he was never proven. I feel so disappointed because we wanted to have a great experience in Austin and never thought we would be treated this way. I urge people to never come to this horrible place . The entire staff at the front seat should get fired. ONLY REASON IM GIVING A ONE REVIEW ITS BECAUSE THERE IS NO ZERO.

This hotel is a in a great location if you're going to 6th street or want to be downtown. The only downside is all the homeless people so I would only feel comfortable walking around with a group of people. You will have to walk past them to get to 6th street and around the area. The hotel has been updated and is aesthetically pleasing. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms with standup shower & sliding door, Keurig K-cup coffee machine, and fridge. The bed was definitely hard. Walls are thin and you can easily hear anything and anyone in the hallways. I suggest bringing your own fan or noise machine to drown out any unwanted noise. The pool area outside is really nice too and they provide pool towels. Parking is $30 a day and is in a garage under the hotel. The parking garage is shared with hotel Indigo. While we were there apparently Hotel Indigo was closed and didn't tell their guests that booked with them, so there were several people coming to the Holiday Inn trying to get a room. Overall I recommend this hotel for an affordably place to stay downtown!

Stayed at this hotel and was charged $500 two days later for a SMOKING FEE? We never received a call, email, or notification of this. My husband and I were the only people in the room and I know for a fact that smoking in the room never happened!! Upon calling the front desk, the lady who answered the phone was rude and of no help and would not connect us to management. Called for 2 days before we could get a manager on the phone that said she would refund half of the fee but that she couldn’t rent out the room for 2 days because of the smell. WHAT SMELL?!
First of all, you sign a paper stating that the hotel can charge you $250 for smoking in the room, not $500. She made it seem as if they are doing us a favor by refunding half of the fee, when they over charged in the first place. Second of all, they can’t provide any proof, an incident report, or provide the process (if any) that a supervisor even went through to determine there was smoking in the room. Do NOT stay here. Horrible customer service.
Seems like they are trying to make extra money by scamming others. We still have yet to have the fee reversed and will take legal action if needed. PLEASE, save yourself and stay anywhere else.

The hotel was clean and comfortable after a long day of travel. We loved that they had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator in every room.

Lucero was the highlight. She is personable and accommodating and she made the day of every person standing in line! Including ours after a long day of travel. Thank you.

Spacious room and appointed well. Comfortable bed. Clean hotel with nice pool area and gym. Near UT Austin and the price is right. Breakfast is like many budget hotels but does the trick. Lots of other budget hotels nearby and is a good choice.
