We recency stayed here for four nights. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Five stars for them! The hotel however is badly in need of an update. It is very tired and worn. The wall paper, paint (a terrible brown on the interior doors) are chipping, dirty and just all around bad. The elevator area is .... interesting. It is a small little hallway that has a door and enough room for maybe 3 people to stand - impossible to practice social distancing if someone were coming off the elevator while others were waiting to get on .. there is no where to go. Quite odd really.
The rooms were just okay. When I made reservations I was told that housekeeping would only clean every other day due to covid - on our second day when we inquired about additional towels, we were told that housekeeping only services rooms after five days. This wasn't a problem for us - especially since the staff was very accommodating with extra towels, etc, it was unexpected.
Good bones and good location but in it's current state we would not stay here again.
Stayed here for just one quick night. Served its purpose with a very comfortable 2br suite each with a queen bed, bathroom etc. Great common area to hang out in and very quite room at the back of the property.
Check in was really easy. They have notices up regarding social distancing, masks required etc. Got to our room and everything was really clean. Remotes had been cleaned and put in sealed plastic sleeves, common touch points looked great and felt really safe about staying in that unit.
They don't offer the normal breakfast, but you can go to lobby and pick up a to go breakfast (which we didn't do), but I'm sure it was great.
This property is right off of 1-35. I'm sure the rooms facing the 35 have a little more noise, but we were not bothered. I would for sure consider staying here again.
I stayed here for 5 weeks on business. Nearly every staff member was polite and friendly. The front desk staff of Breanna, Cristyl, Ciera and Ceptember to name a few, were always professional and had a ready smile when greeting me as I left the hotel and upon my return. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest that I have ever encountered! Whenever I saw them in the hallways, they all smiled and greeted me. Whenever the staff were in the elevator with me, they allowed me to go to my floor first before continuing on their way - they all treated guests very well. I had an issue with the TV (cable provider apparently) as it went in and out several times but Darius was expedient, professional and polite in taking care of the issue. If you are staying with friends or family in the winter months, I definitely recommend the 2 bdrm suite with a fireplace! This hotel is right on the I-35 Frontage road and there is a Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Chic-fil-A and other restaurants within 5 miles. Only about 15 minutes from the airport and a nice walking trail along the river is also within 5 miles.
Aa a Platinum Marriott member, we have stayed in a lot of Marriott properties and often choose Residence Inn for our family stays. This property is near the highway (good for proximity to road, bad for noise). Very basic breakfast buffet. Room was OK, but was a bit dated and worn (carpet, furniture)
We stayed in a ground floor king room. When we entered the room it smelled of body odor. We immediately turned the a/c fan on, and several hours later once we left for the wedding we were attending, the smell seemed better. Once we arrived back to the hotel later that evening, the smell was back and seemed stronger. We turned the fan to "on" and slept with it running all night. The room was clean but the bed was a little harder than what we were used to. We didn't see much of the hotel since we arrived at 2p and left the next morning by 8am but the staff was very friendly. Hotel was crowded with Formula 1 guests. Parking was a little dicey due to being fully booked. We paid more than we expected for a Residence Inn so we were a little disappointed with having to deal with the smell.
