I am in love in this palce. Our room has beautiful outview on a monastery and river. Room was nice and clean. very friendly and helpful staff. Me and my husband desided in future to stay only in this place while we are visiting Pskov.
The sanitary is located outside the room, but charm of the hotel did not ruin our mood because of it.
We've decided to visit Pskov the night befor our trip! So we had no chance to search and choose the hotel and reserved the first one closer to the center which was available. Now I can tell we were so lucky to book this guest house!
First - lokation is very good! Just 10-15 min away from Kremlin, hotel is situated on quiet little street, surrounded by charming colored houses. The river Velikaya provides beautiful view from the court-yard and old Mirozhsky Monastery on the other bank makes it even better!
Old-russian country style the guest house is decorated with makes you feel comfortable and even a bit nostalgic =) Wonderful atmosphere of old good province!
The staff is superb! They replied e-mails within 20 minutes, welcomed us with sincere smiles, explained everything about hotel and city and kept helping us with numerous request and questions we had during our short visit. The main reason we would like to come back is stuff!
The room we had was huge! Not that offen you have hotel room with 3 windows! Little discomfort due to separate bathroom was neutralized by its size and free sauna attached =)
A staircase of steel behind our wall was little noisy in the morning. This is practically the only negative thing we can tell about hotel.
We also had a dinner in the lovely court-yard! The food was good - the surrounding was even better!
This is a lovely B & B on the shore of the river, a short walk from the historic Pskov Kremlin. There were five of us traveling together and we reserved two rooms by email months before we arrived, one with a pull out sofa for a third person. The location was peaceful, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bath we shared was spotless. The breakfast, which you order from a menu the night before, was ample. They also serve dinner in their dining room and on their patio, but we ate at a small outdoor cafe down the street which was less expensive.
The staff is polite and personable and quiet but speaks very little English, so if no one in your group speaks basic Russian staying here would be a real challenge. But if one does, this is a really, really lovely place to stay.
Like many small Russian hotels, this one requires that you make a deposit before you arrive. The host emailed us a form to use for that. We took it to a major bank when we arrived in St. Petersburg and used it to make the required deposit in their account. When we arrived in Pskov two days later they already had it recorded and credited to our stay.
