I’ve spent here 3 nights and I have to admit that the position is very good/central. But this is the only good thing. In my room (n.3) the entrance door was misplaced, so I could hear everything happens in the hall. There were broken tiles in the bathroom, someone else’s hair in the shower and an awful smell in the bathroom - it was unbearable to be there.
The curtains had various halls from cigarettes and the TV was mostly not working (bad/low signal).
The receptionist and than the administrator illegally asked me to provide documents from my previous hotels in order to do the registration and at the end they didn’t even do it. As it was obvious that I’d leave a bad review - the cancelled my reservation through Booking (saying that they couldn’t charge the payment on my credit card) even though I was already staying there and I have the bill issued by the hotel. Very poor service and very poor conditions. I would never come back nor recommend it to anyone.
This site needs updating for this Hotel. I stayed for 4 nights in August 2017. OK not the easiest of Hotels to find and not the prettiest from the outside. Nevertheless, this is a good budget type Hotel for Moscow standards. My Room, number 1 was fine- only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities. This is a very small Hotel- only 5 rooms and so they don't have a breakfast room. Breakfast is cooked to order and served in your room. The breakfast was very good and met my needs.
Hotel is only a few mins walk from Tverskaya Street and about 15-20 mins from Red Square. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Watch out at the moment though as they are only accepting cash for payment and no credit cards.
If I ever go back to Moscow, I would not hesitate to say here again.
I stayed in this hotel for two different occasions.
The first time I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Very quiet location although close to Tverskaya street. Very comfortable bed, clean linen. Excellent noise isolation: we thought that we stayed alone at the hotel and finally realized that it was full! Staff was above excellent, congratulations! Actually, I liked everything except the position of the toilet bowl (should not be comfortable to use for "big" people) and the water isolation of the shower (if not used carefully, water starts leaking).
On the second occasion I was less satisfied. The same room had some specific smell inside (either motor oil or smoking - I could not distinguish properly - disappeared after one night). The room has big TV but the TV was not tuned - very hard to use for eyes. A/c was good and quiet. I suppose that these minor points could easily be corrected by the staff, so in any case I do recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.
Nice place to stay about 5 minute walk from nearest metro station, and 3 minutes away from Tverskaya. The hotel is on a quite street, and it is a bit difficult to find - it's inside inner courtyard, and there are no signs on the street pointing to it. Adjacent to the hotel is a decent restaurant, as well as a beauty/hair saloon, which was convenient. Really appreciated cooler that dispensed cold and boiling hot water on the floor - made tea all the time in my room.
This hotel is exactly what other reviewers have written: in a perfect location, very quiet, super clean. It looks like someone with taste picked stuff out at an ikea-like shop and put them in an old house. And yes the staff is just lovely. No view, no extras - get breakfast at starbucks or coffeemania around the corner. My room and bathroom were quite large. oh and there's free wifi too.
