We stayed in the resort from July 9-12. What a pleasant stay ended disappointing. When we were checking out, Mary, the reception lady, told me that a reading light was broken in the master’s bedroom. Without asking for too much details, I asked how much do we need to pay since we are trying to catch our 1:20PM flight. After several calls to housekeeping and maintenance, she still can’t give us the exact amount (She checked their list and it was at P1,000+). I was there for almost 20 minutes waiting. When the yaya of our daughter approached me, she told me that the reading light was already broken when we arrived. That’s the time I already cited some broken fixtures in our room (A3FG) when we arrived. We didn’t make these an issue because these really didn’t bother us. But for you to charge us for something we didn’t break, this is simply wrong. After more minutes and Mary cannot still let us go because of confirmation calls she has to make, I just decided to give her P2,000.00 and leave. I hope that will “fix” whatever we “broke”.

I thought we were already done. On our way to the airport, I got a call that I wasn’t charged the whole amount. I didn’t notice this because we were rushing to catch our flight. I got a call and said I will just settle everything via bank transfer.

Since I am already making this as my review, allow me to highlight items for improvement:
1. Breakfast starts at 8AM and pools open at 9AM. I hope you can reconsider opening earlier for people who wake up early. Pools close at 6PM. Too early for something that opens late.
2. Water refills in the room should be free. This is the first time I’ve encountered that we are being charged Php105/ bottle for any hotel/resort we’ve stayed at. We just stayed a few weeks ago in Shangri-La, Crimson and JPark.
3. Some rooms need renovation/fixing. Our room’s cabinets need refurbishing and the some walls, repainting.
Overall, our stay was good albeit the hassle we encountered during the checkout. Food is great and the staffs are friendly and accommodating. But honestly, I will think twice if we will stay here again.

I stayed for 1 month at the Tambuli Resort in Mactan Maribago with my wife but I will not return to this place because the Administration is unwelcoming and much too strict with the residents. We could not cancel our reservation because the rental was unfortunately prepaid. We were really disappointed because we didn't have access to the beach area or to the gym. Walks around the pool were also not allowed. In fact, if you want to have access to the amenities of Tambuli, you have to pay daily fees in addition to renting an apartment or hotel room. If you do not own a condominium, the head of administration does not consider you. The management is not open-minded and accommodating with the tenants, they will not help you if necessary even if you rent for a long stay. In addition, shops, restaurants or supermarkets are located very far away. We will never buy an apartment in this place because we cannot rent it to tenants or demanding guests. It's really a bad investment and it's definitely better to find another place to buy real estate.

Dear @Patglobetrotter, All of the guests of Tambuli Seaside Resort and Spa can access the pool, gym, pools and other resort facilities. I think you rented your unit thru Aibnb hence, not part of the resort. Moreover, aibnb is not allowed so, if f you can give us the name of the person you dealt with, then we can let him or her address your concerns. Thank you!

Since we had to cancel our Camotes trip due to the weather, we decided a day before to book this resort. It is still very new so the taxi we took got lost since this is on the far end of a small road. You need to have your own transportation if you intend to go out for meals or explore Mactan. But aside from them, this place is just amazing! The room we chose was suitable for cooking and preparing your meals; all kitchen and eating accessories are included. We had a washing machine as well which is always a plus point for me who has a small kid. They have seven pools in total which would not make it a crowded place for swimming. The lobby is wonderful! Reminded me of a very nice resort in Muine Vietnam. This resort is really for relaxing and just enjoying the sea (not so nice seashore), the sun and the pool.

This is actually my third stay after they finally launched Tambuli Seaside. We had a great stay and was really surprised with the improvements espcially with the beach coz the last we came here, the beach was quite dirty. I just have a minor concerns during our stay. As someone who used to work in the same industry, someone who knows the owner, someone who has a unit, i am writing this review for improvements:)

We arrived at around 3pm. Only one bellman on duty because of the pandemic which I truly understand, settled in the room to arrange our stuff and prepare our swimwear at 4pm. I noticed that the sink inside the bathroom was clogged. So I called frontdesk to have someone just go inside the room and fix it since I have my valuable with me.But frontdesk said it's their policy to have a guest inside the room while they are fixing. I wanted to enjoy the facilities asap since they have earlier closing time and opening time for the beach and pool is 9am. So do the math on the hours u can enjoy the facilities when check in time is 3pm and check out is 12nn.

After we had swimming, had dinner in their restaurant and came back to the room. While preparing for my tea, i noticed there were two lipton tea but the other sachet is peefectly cut at the bottom and the teabag was no lomger inside the sachet. Yes, empty sachet of lipton tea.
The kettle had no adoptor and tv was not working. When I sat down to enjoy my tea, i noticed there was a chocolate syrup which got 'hardned' at the side of the table top. I didnt make an issue coz i know there were less staff and dont want them to keep coming back in the room to practice 'distancing.' So I just wiped it with tissue and water.

The next day my sister called me that she will drop by to have lunch with us and when she arrived, I didnt know she brought her 3 year old son who went straight towards us at the beach. My sister was sitting at the beach bed when a security guard who was in regular security guard uniform asked her to go to front desk. So my sister just followed what the guard asked her to do. When I noticed that it took her long at the front desk, I came to her and asked what's wrong. The front desk in white shirt asked her to pay the P900 day use which was already 11ish in the morning. I told her that if she could just consider the child since they will just leave after an hour. But she declined it and said that it is theur policy that only registered guests are allowed to use the facilities which I understand so I told her I will just go back to the room and let the child use which she agreed.

So here's the thing that upsets me. Security in resorts and hotel should be subtle. When the guard in 'security uniform' approached my sister, it was kinda obvious that there is something wrong- somewhat a lil alarming?! I believe he was a security guard assigned to the construction area.

When booking the room, your website and messenger is playing safe. You stated 'maximum of 2 adults' and there was a note that minors are not allowed. So for clarification, your one bedroom suite is good for 2 adults and 2 kids if against the government's policy, right? If not, that is why on the registration card, it only says 2 adults and zero kid when infact during my reservation, i stated i have a child with me. So if we are not following the government's policy, my nephew should have not been charged, my son wont be allowed to check in. It's frustrating coz when we were at the pool area, we saw 2 families (who were swimming with their tshirt) and they mentioned they are in a 2 bedroom (which I believe has 4pax max), there were 3 adults and 3kids and the other one mentioned 'oh they are not strict here good thing we brought out airbed' If I am really legit for day use charge for my nephew, they could have asked me and charged it to the room NOT asked my sister to go back to front desk to settle things right away when u are enjoying the moment.

I am still thankful to all of the staff because I have seen the waiters and waitresses running just to accommodate the guests' requests, kudos to manong at the beach who is a leisure attendant/ bellman which i got surprised coz he was the one who assisted us at kayak and he was the one who assisted us with the bags during check
out. Thanks to the lobby guards, front desks and to all polite employees.

We had fun after 6 months of not seeing the beach. Thank you
Keep it up!

But overall, u am still thankful to the staff

The upgraded suite didn't have a view, it smelled like sewage, the food and drinks were just ok. Needless to say spend an extra $50 and get a better resort. We went to Ibiza for dinner at another resort and we're definitely going back there!
