I visited Baguio again for work but this time am with my family, again as well ☺️. Everytime we go here, the Manor never fails to amaze us. The hotel staff were friendly and professional and ready to assist. We stayed in a garden view with a balcony....though we were on top of the extended restaurant it was quite noisy during the morning and dinner time. Seems that they made some minor renovations in the rooms which is very good. Everything you need in the room is there for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is good and food ia always fresh. My wife loved the sumptous array of fruits. Dinner at Le Chef is also good and the presentation was awesome too. Just sad that the garden activities were not there anymore so my kid was a bit sad. Good thing there are activities around camp john hay like wall climbing, mini golf, go kart and other restaurants too near concentrix. Thank you Manor for always giving us a great place to stay while in baguio.
Always our favorite hotel in the city of pines
The Manor is the perfect accommodation for our return to Baguio after almost 3 years. It is our first time as we never had the luck in the past in booking as it was always fully booked. For this stay, we booked way in advance to be sure. I like that I got a call few days before our stay to confirm, ask for preferences and remind to register in Visita Baguio. I chose Forest Room with balcony because we want to spend time in appreciating the pine trees and it was a good choice. I requested for higher floor but we got a second floor room, rm 204 which is near the middle/front. It was not bad after all! For some, they may not like it as it near the 2nd flr common lobby area and just outside our door, overlooks the piano bar below but we love it because we can hear the performance even in our room. We have a toddler that we need to put to sleep first before lounging so it was great that it’s like we’re in the piano bar even if we’re still in our room. Since I added an extra person, they immediately asked if we want an extra bed during check in and it was setup immediately. We were also allowed to check in early as the room is already available, it was a few minutes before 3pm anyway. We requested for more towels, toiletries and it was provided immediately as well. We also requested for water and was provided when they cleaned the room.
It is nice that they have free wifi but during our stay, my daughter lagged several times as she was attending an online class. My recommendation is to have a password protected wifi for the exclusive use of booked guests.
We tried to have dinner buffet on a Saturday night, unfortunately, it was fully booked already and we’re #22 in waiting list that we decided to eat out even if it’s raining. Breakfast buffet is still superb! Tried it before even if we’re not billeted there.
Checkout was a breeze as they have checkout counter on each level, so great that there is no need to line up at the ground floor for central checkout.
Overall, we loved our stay at The Manor, a charming Baguio accommodation.
This hotel is worth the money. It is an old piece of architecture but the facility is well maintained and kept up to date. The bed is very comfortable, although we found the pillows a bit too thick. The basic necessities anyone expects in a hotel room are present. The bufet breakfast is an experience - so much good food and such a wonderful space.
The cold climate, pinetrees, warm fireplace and log cabin liked structure... They are my childhood memories that Manor rekindles in my family
We have a hard time booking using the reservations@camojohnhay email. The response is not in real time. We tried to call and most of yhe time, our calls are unanswered.
It was my second time to check in this year, 2022. I hope the hotel already have records of their guest so we do not have fill up the information again. Moreover, it will give a home feeling for the guest.
Everything is above standard, the large room, amenities, softness of pillow etc. The housekeeping is very quick to response to the guest's needs
I adore the frontdesk staff. They were able to handle difficult customers with smile. Some of the hotel guest are like VIP con demi-gods who thinks everyone their peasants. Though my two boys envied other kids, they were not given candies.
Breakfast is not included which for me is ok. Other prefer to try other Baguio food. but you can avail it in an affordable price. Hotel food are delicious. They have weekend dinner buffet which is a really good.
I would like to commend Kyle Avellano of the reception. He gave an spectacular service. He is attentive to the guest and knows customer service by heart. He will have a good future in the hotel industry. Keep it up. He knew how to communicate to guest with repect and sympathy.
I hope the next time our family would come back, a warmer Manor would greet us. More family activities. God job Manor
Stayed in The Manor for a 2-day business trip.
Room size was good with spectacular views of their garden where you can enjoy Baguio's cool weather from your balcony.
Buffet breakfast was excellent.
If ever I would need to stay again, I'd choose The Manor for the location, restaurant, and their excellent service that they provide to their guests.
Special thanks to Mica of front desk who ensured our room was ready, our luggage taken care of, and really made us feel welcome after a long drive into the city.
