This is a lovely place to stay.
Nice room, clean and simple as most of the Homestay in Hoi An. The owner is very nice and together with her sister can make your stay very comfortable. You can ask them for any advice regarding restaurant, tailor or traveling. They booked for us the bus to DaLat. If you want a personal touch, we really recommend to stay with this lovely family.

We had 3 nights at this wonderful homestay. The family who own it are very friendly and great to talk with.

The room we stayed in was large, clean and nicely decorated and equipped. Breakfast is available and has a variety of choices.

The homestay is in close proximity to the Ancient town... a 5-10 minute walk at the most.

Great street food, local and Western style restaurants etc are also in walking distance.

Highly recommend a stay here.

We could not recommend this place enough to anyone. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything in Hoi An, minutes from the covered Japanese Bridge, we had a balcony with a great vue on the street below. The owner are super friendly, eager to help, they speak good English and always willing to help you with activities etc... in the surroundings. The food was great there as all the services and amenities in the room as well. It had everything and more. If you are planning to go to Hoi An, I strongly recommend you book this homestay for the convenience, the authenticity of the place, locations, friendliness of the staff and the all around ambience surrounding the area. Great place for great value. EXCELLENT!

To me, homestay would be a small room with very minimal necessities. But here, you are getting totally the opposite !! The size of the room is amazing huge! With a balcony ! Comfortable and large bed, water heater is perfect with the strong water pressure ( it's so nice as it's quite chilling at this time of the year ), and it is super clean and neat.

Location is awesome! I can walk to the ancient town of Hoi An and there is this super nice The Banh Mi Queen nearby.

And their friendliness are superb especially Peony! I have to check out earlier a day before as we wanted to explore more in Da Nang area but she is so helpful. I totally understand that I won't be getting a-day refund as I owe a backpackers' hostel in KL as well but felt so bad we have to leave early. She is just a very nice lady!!!

Do I recommend this place in Hoi An? I insist!!!!

There are far better places to stay in Hoi An where you don’t have to worry about the lights turning off when you flush the toilet, or not being able to turn on the aircon because the entire building might lose power. That was our experience on arrival at Hoa Mau Don Homestay and it only got worse: in our double bedroom the bathroom door would not open from the inside meaning you could get locked in; our friends in the family room had an exposed live wire in their bathroom! We were woken up at 6am by construction work and banging on our walls to then realise that the water was off... 8 hours later there was still no running water so we couldn’t shower, use the sinks or flush the toilets despite the host telling us that it would be fixed in “5 minutes” every time we asked. What was a terrible experience could have been improved by the host handling the situation better by offering some form of compensation or explanation for the problems but this did not happen. The host showed my friend a bucket of water in an alley as an option for showering. The “laundry service” is a bucket of water on the roof! In the end we had to book new accommodation and leave. Do not believe the fake 5 star reviews - avoid this place at all costs.

Dear , Thank you to write the review at trip advisor. The first day you arrive to my home we are very welcome . We give for you all the best recommend you holiday at Hoi An . Firstly, I apologize to you for the power and water issues in our home. It was a bad day for us because we were not informed about the electrical and water problems. You know, we did not know beforehand when the power supply was suspended. This is the surprise of the state power supply company. And we have hired generators to provide you with a full 3-4 hours. The power failure occurs only from 1pm to 6pm. You’re check in at 3:30 pm. Since the generator is not strong enough to supply all the rooms, I try to explain that you can not use the air conditioner for 2 hours until the electricity is back because the generator is not strong enough for all. I tried to explain a lot to you to sympathize with us because this is unintentional. Water issues because this time Hoi An hot and sunny, no rain so the amount of water is not much. So the water supply company tried to handle the day. We have tried to fix the solution for you. As for the door in the toilet, all doors to the two locks, if you press the external key, the door will automatically lock and just open inside the door automatically open, because you do not know how to use. should make you confused. To be honest with a hotel owner, we never expected anything bad for our customers. You say we do not apologize and compensate you that's untrue. You make me sad because it's a lie. You stay one night and that night we were free for you. And you have been drinking water, beer, and soft drinks for free. I apologize very much and would like to sympathize but your expression is very impatient and not calm. You do not give us a chance to explain and find a solution. You and your friends carry suitcase and do not tell me a word. While you can sit down and talk lightly. Everything is resolved if we are understanding and tolerant. You say do not believe the 5 star rating, you do not have to say such words. Because I believe customers know what is the truth, where is false. Because in our lives there are always some incidents and some things that are not their own. Only we have understanding and how to deal with them. I want to tell you : The truth will be True. Don not distort it . Best wishes to you ..! Kind regards , Hoa Mau Don Homestay .
