Stayed at the hotel from 4 to 8 September. Rooms are large and comfortable. the staff is friendly. I would like to say special thanks to the administrator Inna, she very quickly solved all our questions, met our requests, was friendly and polite. The second administrator, the guy was arrogant, rude and made a very unpleasant impression of himself!
The waiters and bartenders were always polite. Special thanks to the charming bartender from the pool bar (unfortunately I don't know his name), who always remembered which drinks we preffered and what our favorite music was. a small thing but it was very nice! the sea is not far from the hotel . The food was not very varied but tasty. Overall a good price / performance ratio.

We stayed here for 11 days arriving late so losing a day yet on the last day we had our bands cut off at 12 so paid for 11 got 9 all in. The food was very hit and miss none of it was labeled so was a surprise. The rooms were nice but bedding changed once whilst we were there. Staff were very miserable looking not smiling only a couple were nice. The only thing this hotel had going for it was the location and the pool would not recommend this hotel to anyone we spent more on eating out as when we did eat in the hotel we spent most of the evening and next day in the toilet. The staff and some of the guests were horrible to the cats that were about the hotel I know not everyone likes cats but no need to be cruel to them. Would not stay here again its mainly catered for Russians who stare and are rude.

My rating would have been higher if the food had been better. The hotel overall was very good - staff very nice and welcoming, rooms spacious with fridge, safe, tv, hair dryer but only mirror was in the bathroom. Towels replaced daily if thrown on the floor. Nice view of pool from balcony and the pool and pool bar were very good. Close to the sea but unfortunately the food in our opinion let it down. Good choice of cold buffet for breakfast but mainly the eggs just seemed to have been thrown in their compartment. Lunch/dinner only two choices of hot - sometimes two meat or one meat and one fish. No choice of hot for vegetarians although plenty of salad. Shame as it wouldn't have taken much to improve it. Considering the amount of lovely fresh fruit there was around, there was none to be seen on the food stations and no fresh orange juice to be had. Hotel was 100 yards from main Marmaris - Icemeler road where you can hail a dolmus (3TL for any length ride), also taxi rank. Cross that road and keep straight on for beach passing small supermarket with best exchange rates around. A taxi ride to Turunc and the very small market on Mondays via scary steep road cost 130TL one way and boat taxi back to Marmaris is 40TL pp. Overall enjoyed the stay in the hotel, but sadly not the food. NO LIFTS IN HOTEL
Hotel close to supermarket, taxi rank, dolmus, beach and good restaurants. Our favourites were Majestic and Viking. Best evening ever was at The Talk of the Town - you get a meal and one drink and two and a half hours non stop of a hilarious show. A drag show but there were children in the audience so not shocking as they were in hysterics too. The four who put on the show were amazing - we all laughed non stop for the whole show - thoroughly recommend it. Marmaris Castle museum well worth a visit and also the old town. We booked two trips with local tours firm Hot and got a decent discount into the bargain - lazy day tour and river tour, both brilliant days out. Lovely resort to stay in this time of year (May) and we loved Icemeler and Turunc too.

Just returned from week holiday at Begonville Hotel. and all in all it was not bad as long as you don't eat the food, enjoy breaking your back on beds that are solid and getting fed up with the attitude of the restaurant staff who take your food away even AS you are eating. They even refuse entry to diners who arrive ten minutes before end of service which is not on.
The best thing you can do if you get hungry is leave the hotel, turn left and walk 2 minutes down the road to Smileys restaurant where you will get excellent food and very good company . You will also make very good friends with ex pats. Also if you are wheelchair bound you can't get to the pool, you can ONLY go onto one level.
