My husband and I stayed at Lykia Gardens after getting married at Mavi Koy villa. We wanted to have some time to ourselves to relax and wind down after all of the madness of the wedding and this was the perfect place for it.

The room was lovely, beautiful twin double doors leading out to the pool area, with sunbeds and dining area. The room itself was beautifully furnished with a large poster bed, free standing bath and separate shower. Very comfortable beds and a large TV in the room (Not that we watched it, but was nice to have the option)

Lykia Gardens is located approximately 10-15 minutes walk from Kalkan harbour, or just a very short taxi ride. We walked into Kalkan a few times during our stay, but then with taxis being so reasonable we also found ourselves ordering a taxi, which the hotel can do for you.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and happy to help whenever needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will certainly stay here again.

Personally I believe that sadly, Kalkan has had its day. Huge expansion of villas and apartments over the last 10 years have diminished any feel of "Turkey".
It is 95% British.
It is noisy and many of the bars have big screen televisions competing through the volume of sound from Premier league games - every night!
However, Likya Gardens avoids all of this. Just a 10 minute walk along a quiet, un made up shorefront road, the hotel enjoys a superb location facing East across the bay.
Best rooms are the Pool suites. Our suite was excellent, huge rooms, nice pool and fabulous views.
Serious swimmers are well catered for as each room has its own private cabana and steps leading done to the rock platform for access to the sea.
Very relaxing and peaceful - far away from the din of Kalkan.

We travelled in early June and had a fantastic stay at Likya Gardens. We were lucky enough to be in a pool house (Esma) which was wonderfully private, with a big pool, huge bed and fantastic shower. We found the quality of the accommodation to be very good and had the chance to see another room in the main hotel which was also very good with a great pool setup. The location is superb - just a 15 min walk to the countless great restaurants in Kalkan (we got a cab back for under £3 each night as the track is not lit). Breakfast with a view was great - you could have what you like although we would have liked a menu for inspiration. Fairlight Jones were great as always - particularly the boat trip and the rep Zubeyde could not have been more helpful, and was happy to make dinner reservations and deal with any questions by WhatsApp or in person. Final mention must go to Rohat, who was incredibly helpful and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Best restaurants in our view - Rose, Korsan Fish Terrace, Sade, Baharat and Kalimaki. We also had a great hammam/ spa at Likya Residence. Thanks to everyone at the property for a great stay - we’ll definitely be back!

Boutique beach chic with excellent service but not quite up to the 5* price tag.

The good:

The complex is great in terms of facilities, private pools and beach side cabanas with most rooms. Lovely and quiet yet close enough to stroll to Kalkan.

Rooms clean and comfortable, good beds and a/c.

Service was fab, but not intrusive.

Breakfast at the Yali beach club was spot on for food, service and the view.

Prices for other meals are in keeping with the rest of Kalkan and not extortionate. Ditto to the mini bar.

We also brought a few snacks, beer and water in from a supermarket and didn’t get told off unlike previous reviews - I’m glad this has been knocked on the head.

Beach area was rocky with wood terraces built into the rocks and nicely maintained around Yali beach club but the cabana area not so much (see below).

Location; we found ideal, 10 min flat walk along an unmade, partially lit but safe road to Kalkan meant everything was accessible but the hotel was peaceful.

The room for improvement:

Our cabana area was in need of maintenance and repair. The bed had a broken frame and rusty nail protruding and the railings on the cabana area were quite flimsy.
I’m being fussy because they charge luxury prices for which I expect everything to be spot on.

That said we enjoyed our stay and left relaxed and would recommend to a friend.

We recently visited Lykia Gardens and stayed in one of the pool houses through Fairlight Jones. The accommodation was just great, very clean, the bed (massive) was extremely comfortable, the house well equipped and we were super spoilt having a double jacuzzi bath and separate monsoon shower. The location is great, within walking distance of the many restaurants on the waterfront. We were treated to a delicious breakfast every morning. The service was second to none from the first to last communication with Fairlight Jones. Even the transfers to and from the resort were so well done. The resort team were very professional and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We would certainly recommend both Likya Gardens and Fairlight Jones and hope to travel with them again soon
