A quiet and out of the way location, popular with bus tours.

Breakfast is a fresh and mixed style buffet.
Evening meals can vary but good quality.

Staff are friendly and happy to help.

Rooms are a more traditional feel, with a sliding wood partition as a window between bedroom and bathroom.

The pool is open air and plenty of room to relax, gym facilities are a little more basic, a collection of cardio machines but enough to keep fit.

Depending on you preferences how your stay might be. Was like a ghost town during the day but had an enormous pool and gym room all to ourselves each day. Beautiful gardens to wander in. We had a budget room that was ok but would recommend upgrading to a villa if you can afford this for sure. We ordered Food Panda and didn't visit the restaurant. Wonderfull Hidden House cafe just down the road.

Stayed at Phowadol resort for 3 nights, the place is isolated and very far from the market, even a grocery shop or local restaurant you need to call for a tuk tuk to bring you to the chiang Rai city.
Room- is big but very out dated, bed is not comfy. TV is old fashion, Toilet really need to do something, very poor design, when you take shower- floors seems like there’s flooding. No toothbrush include in the room amenities, Cleanliness in the room is okey but not great, can still see the dust and hair all over the floor.
Swimming pool is dirty, and Staff in the reception is accommodating, but in the breakfast area not friendly though. And have limited choices. Most Definitely my next visit in Chiang Rai I will find another hotel closer to the city, Hard to recommend Phowadol.

We were dropped off here by our tour company, and it looks like everyone else in the place had had the same problem. The terms "resort" and "spa" are a joke when applied to this place. As others have said, it's very drab and run down. The rooms are tiny and junky. Don't believe the photo they show of a spacious looking room--it's taken with a trick camera. The pool is small and without a view. The spa is just a massage room. At least it was out of town and quiet except for the noise of new groups finding their rooms.

Room Tip: Stay away from the main building. The individual cabins looked like they might be better.
