Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were ok. Could definitely use some TLC. The bathtub was rusty and looked in poor condition. Rooms were quiet and beds comfortable. AC worked well and rooms were clean upon arrival. Nice location. Breakfast was great as was the waitress. Pool was nice and did not have that stuffy feel other indoor pools have.
Great staff but the pool stunk. It smelled and was freezing. Hotel overall was very old. The need to update it. Excellent value and great breakfast. Room temperature did not want to change. They need to update the hotel
No hot water in our room! Cold shower, cold sink water.
Hot tub broken and drained in the pool area.
Thermostat wouldn't adjust, room was boiling stuck at 76 degrees for our stay.
Massive water stain on ceiling with paint peeling
Executive floor lounge CLOSED on the weekends! Entire reason I paid extra money to stay on the floor was for the lounge and it was closed. Been to hotels all over the world and never experienced closure of the lounge on weekends. I thought my daughter would get a kick out of it and we were very disappointed about this. Especially since the news came right after learning the hot tub was broken and drained and had caution tape all around it.
Excellent breakfast options and incredibly thoughtful staff.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was great. My room was clean and the bed very comfy. Great location. The bus stop for the local CDTA bus is a very short walk from the hotel. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. What sold me on this hotel was the price, the pool and the free shuttle bus. I enjoyed taking a swim in the very nice pool, which I had all to myself. I very much appreciated using the shuttle bus to pick me up from the Amtrak train station and dropping me off as well. I didn't have to wait long for pickup and dropoff which was great. I stayed in an executive level room and I would not do that again. It was not worth the extra money. I understood that the executive lounge is not open on weekends and that on Fridays it is open for breakfast only. Still, for the amount of money one pays for the executive level, the lounge should be open on weekends. I noticed two small dents in the wall in my room and I notified an employee when I checked out. I made it very clear I did NOT put those dents in the wall-they were already there when I entered the room after checking in. The hotel restaurant was OK, nothing worth bragging about so it's a good thing there are lots of restaurants nearby. Overall, however, my stay was very pleasant and I would stay here again,
Small stains on sheets, bathtub covered in stains, dirty hairdryer (with someone else's hair caked onto it), mold growing on the shower curtain, freezing cold pool, room temperature hot tub, and a staff that was generally rude and uncaring. Upsides? It was quiet and the fitness center was nice enough.
